CTRs to aim for?

I keep trying different advertising platforms and keep hitting the same kind of brick wall. What CTR should I aim for?

Yes I realize, keep testing keep increasing CTR, but right now I am too newb to know if a CTR is even acceptable.

So what kind of CTRs do you aim for with your initial campaign launches for:

1. Search Engine PPC:
2. Facebook:
3. PoF:
4. PPV:

I need to have some goals.

After a while you get a feel for what CTRs are acceptable and what aren't. There's some variables to consider, like how broad of an audience does a target/keyword target, or is the user looking for whatever you're trying to sell them already, etc. It's really a case by case thing so that's why no one is giving you a firm answer.

For now just stick to make the following ratio true:

yourCPA (what it costs you to get conversion) << offerCPA (payout)
