Exactly, here's a good rule of thumb: anything that could potentially get someone in trouble w/ their boss if they were to open ads @ work, would get declined.

Yeah, it's dead again. Not sure why it always happens on weekends and holidays but it's so frustrating. They need someone watching over this stuff. Pay some chimp a few bucks an hour to ring a bell if the server crashes. Hope it's a fast fix, unlike last time, or we'll lose thousands this weekend.
Was wondering this exact thing. My impressions are 0 since 3 am. I haven't been running ads on POF that long, has this happened on POF before on a holiday? Sucks cause my conversion rate was amazing up until 3 am. I'm sure there are a ton of lonely people browsing on Thanksgiving day.
I logged into my "dating" account of POF and the only ads I can find are some Google ads and a few small text links for evow, christian mingle and 'sex personals'- all of which look like they are being run internally.
Yeh, I just got booted out of the system (database error) now I can't log in. Maybe they are resetting? Guess we'll know soon.
PoF is based in Canada, so it shouldn't matter that it's Thanksgiving -- unless they take off US holidays or something...
It would be really easy to set up some automation to gauge server reliability. The tech gurus would be notified if the server crashed. Not sure if they have that in place but it's relatively simple to do and it could save thousands in lost revenue from an after-hours outage.
Back running, yes, but I always get nervous about a recurrence, especially over a long weekend. I realize that they are not on US hours, per se, I more meant that it's a huge weekend volume-wise, and we need this baby operating.

Same thing for me! don't quite get what's up with that tough...
also, how many of you find PoF to be the new FB in terms of approvals? I understand we have to put less racy/sexy pics, but even on not so sexy pics, they declined my ads! and when its not a picture reason, they give me the LP not working/compliant...Which is irrelevant! Quite disapointing from PoF...
I've had a few declined, but resubmitted a couple of times and they went through. I've been told that a few of the people who review are more strict than others.
Heads up everyone, as the holiday season comes close, we're also seeing bids adjusted accordingly. I don't think POF recommended bids are going to hold up (actually I'm 99.9% sure they won't) from now until Valentines.
I'd estimate ~$0.45 internationally and ~$0.60 US will be the new standard for significant traffic. For those of you bidding higher, you may need to adjust your bids accordingly as well.
