There will always be a race bias in statistics like this, but it's a tiny minority; maybe 1% at most of the arrests were because of race alone. It gets destroyed by the standard deviation.
As for how to handle this, just grab one by the throat real tight (not tight enough to pass out or kill) and mean mug the others, or throw her into them like a fucking badass.

lol..Don't fuck with an angry Asian woman..I got beat up when i was young scared shitless for a good bit of my child hood till i went to middle school. I live in some what close to being the hood. I got beat up by a group of dudes who were twice my size and i was about your age. It happens to many. I learn and never let that shit happen to me again. You Can't Be Weak Forever.

You don't have to be a professional fighter to accidentally kill someone. That girl could have killed him by kicking him in the head if she hit the wrong place.
Small hits is one thing, but once someone starts kicking me in (or near) my head, it is time to lay down the law and end the fight that they were willing to start.

Looks like they got dealt with by the law pretty good. Most of them were arrested and I think the chick who was hitting her and kicking is going to be charged as an adult.
I haven't seen the video in a few days, but I was kinda surprised that the other girls got arrested and they were underage. I actually thought they were gonna get let go without being punished.

Reminds me of this one time a buddy of mine brought his GF who was from what you might call a sheltered home to a new year's eve party in these parts. Some thuggish chick bumped into her in a way that she felt was intentional, so she poured her drink out on the chick's head. Shit obviously hit the fan, a ton of people got involved, and fortunately no one was seriously hurt or killed. There is a difference between defending yourself/loved ones and blindly acting on your pride. Pick your dang battles. This isn't a Bruce Willis movie, it's real life.
Also, this is not a matter of race, it's a matter of being poor. Both financially and culturally. Don't forget that without the colorful lower class, the upper class could not exist.

Here in the bay area you'll see lots of teens who don't really give a fuck and if you mess with them, they will probably come back to fuck you up big time.
Example: In the 7th grade, some 8th grader threatened one of my friends. Then my friend told his cousin about what happened, and the next day, his cousin's gang came to the school loaded with knives and shit. They came so close to beating the shit out of the 8th grader but he ran away before any of it happened. This was in a private school too...
It's the culture that the minorities grow up in that makes them so dangerous.
It's best not to fight back, because in a week or so the same people you just beat up will be looking to kill you.
I live mostly around minorities and don't know many white people, so that's just my opinion.

Agree with what Jake said - even over here in the UK (where gun crimes are a fraction of the US), there are shootings and stabbings caused by shit like this on the news every month or two.
It goes like this:
1. Neanderthal (white or black. The general rule is that they are poor and have been raised like animals) behaves completely unacceptably, harassing people, beating people, or whatever.
2. Wronged person or witnesses strikes back
3. Neanderthal decides they've been 'dissed', goes and gets their mates and does a drive-by shooting, or gang-stabs you to death., You and several random others are hurt or killed.
Unless you are genuinely and totally ready to kill or maim the other party right now, and face whatever consequences (like prison, revenge etc) happen, you're best just to get the fuck out of the way and let them get on with it.
Yeah, you could get all medieval on their ass, and destroy them with your mad MMA skillz, or get a shotgun, but even if you kill em, you'll probably end up in jail. What does that prove?
The only time I could think of I'd do it is if someone was seriously threatening (i.e. with a weapon) my family. Then I'd give it all I had. Otherwise I'd walk.
People like that usually end up dead or in jail fairly quickly, so karma takes its revenge for you.
EDIT: If you're a woman, this doesn't apply in quite the same way. I've spoken to a couple of coppers about this, and they stretch the definition of "reasonable force" MUCH further for women. So if you learn MMA and end up killing a male attacker or two, you'll almost certainly walk if you say you were scared of being raped.
