Im using my merchants logo on my banner, and then including the word review at the end. Is this illegal? I am in no way promoting my blog as an official site or anything..

For example, if your merchant is "wicked fire", and your site is "wicked fire canada", can you have the wicked fire logo as your header and just paste the word canada at the bottom?

Probably not, no. Read through whatever the specific TOS is for the offer and if it doesn't address it and you think it's a MUST have - then just do it and if they send you an email or cease and desist about it just act innocent and say you had no idea.

Most merchants won't mind as long as you're actually pushing their product and using fairly legit traffic sources, but if you are doing illegal shit then expect a slap down and also becareful as they might refuse to pay affiliate comissions.
 
Just have you AM ask if you're concerned. If you have express approval then you 100% have nothing to worry about. Everything else is a grey area.
