HOLY COW.

So I login to make another content purchase and I see this thread.

Did I really miss the opportunity for a free dedicated server? TOTALLY unexpected... but definitely appreciated. I was not writing my experiences up about webair with the hope that I would be offered something in return. It's just that I've genuinely have had nothing but positive experience and felt they should be shared with the OP.

My mistake for not paying attention to this thread. I'll still shoot you an e-mail and if, by some miracle, the offer still stands I would be humbled to take the dedicated server off your hands.

BM

This makes my job so worth while =)

BlitzedMonkey - Thank you so much for this random act of kindness. You kinda made my weekend!

So I'll make yours =) You just won yourself a free dedicated server from your friends @ webair.com

let's go with with this config:

WEBAIR BUSINESS 1

Intel Core2 Duo E7600 3.06Ghz
Operating System of choice
2GB DDR2 (Upgradeable)
250GB SATA
15 Mbps Transfer Per Mo
11 Unique IP Addresses

If you need to add or change any of the config let me know i'll see what i can do for you =) I will be away this week on business, but if you shoot me an email I'll be able to get you rolling - mike@webair.com

Thanks for the kind works my friend!

Just as an update:

I e-mailed Mike a couple hours ago and someone from Webair called me on the phone. After talking with them for about 5 mins I now have a free server. I'm 4 months late and they still hooked me up. Thanks guys.

I did try to edit my previous post but it seems I'm too late.

Since the acquisition of Theplanet by softlayer, things has gone from bad to worse, and ppl are moving away.

Actually, it's the acquisition of Softlayer by ThePlanet but yeah, I'm sure nobody in the hosting industry is surprised that things went down the shitter. Too bad, SL used to be a decent company, although their prices were never great to be perfectly honest.

it really depends on the size of your business. if you have got big business and need an account rep provided by hosting - Rackspace has got slow support and lazy people. ATT - is also an option, support responds faster then RackSpace and if you are big and lucky enough they will give an expert as account rep. If not - be carefull most employees are lousy. Have not dealt with Softlayer and The Planet. I can not say anything about them
