Hey Guys,

I need some insight on FB Ads. All my ads have been approved.

My click through rates seem to be good @ 0.26% on average and my max bid price is $0.50 over my average CPC.

However, I'm not getting hardly any impressions! I have no idea why my impressions are so low.

At first I thought it might be because of the amount of people Im targeting based off my demographics but each campaing has about 3mm people being targeted so Im pretty sure I should be getting some impressions!

Any advice would be great from someone who is an expert at FB Ads. Its also taking FB like 3-6 hrs to approve my campaigns! Any advice/help would be amazing!

Oh, one more think, I have four creatives in one campaign.

thanks!

what is your daily budget? daily budget is spent over 24 hours... if your account has a small daily spend this is why you are not getting traffic

I do have a small budget. Its set at $25 a day.

that does make since though. Heres another question for you. I have 4 creatives. 2 of them have gotten 177,000 impressions.

The other 2 have recieved 188 total. Is this due to the small budget. I heard a rumor that if you create multiple creatives under one campaign that some creatives will always get more impressions the the others. Is this true?

Do you think doubling my daily spend to $50 would be enough to drive more impressions?

Yes set your budget extremely high if you want traffic, and yes some creatives will sometimes get more impressions for some reason.

Ok so i increased my budget from $25.00 to $100.00 and the flood gates opened up.

Thats definitely what it was...but something real FUCKING SHITTY happened.

My CPC Tripled!

It just took my RIO from literally $315% to -4%. Now I am loosing money where I was killing it.

I have no idea what the fuck just happened. The numbers are not making since to me, any know why my CPC tripled when i raised my max daily?

Since = Sense.
any = anybody
loosing = losing

Can't help ya with the fb ads but can with your English.. good luck.

Your roi went to -4 because your +315 was not accurate since it was probably based on like spending 3 dollars, lol.

actually my ad spend was $22. I know its not a lot...but I was testing the LP and creative. My Net rev was was about $68. i always test all my campaigns w/ $25 to $50 budgets then raise accordingly.

I would of killed it had my CPC not tripled and I personally dont know why FB tripled it. It went from avg .25 cpc to .75 cpc when i raised the budget from $25 to $100. My max bid at a 1.00 stayed the same because my ctr on my ads actually increased from .264 to .314 and my conversion rate on my offer stayed the same.

if those numbers make me a 'dumbass' then i dont know what to tell you...great CTR, great Conversion, highly targeted add with good numbers. FB just triped my avg cpc.

if anyone have an actual answer that applies to why i would love to hear it :D

facebook likes to triple your cpc when you have a high converting, high CTR, highly targeted ad so you stop spending with their platform. yea its all because of facebook

why u bidding so high? they can charge you up to your 1.00 regardless... no where does it state they need to lower ur bid b.c you have a high ctr

why dont you just go into the 100+ page facebook thread instead of making a retarded thread. or theres always the thought of actually testing different variables rather than asking for your hand to be held on a forum

One big rule in regards to changing your campaign budget is either:

a) If you are increasing your campaign spending limit by up to 10%, then you can increase it at any hour without seeing any crazy raises in CPC or drops in CTR.
b) If you plan to increase the spending limit over 10%; as much as 400% in your case, only do it at the start of the new day. So at 12 AM. Otherwise, you will fuck yourself over.

I'm sure you've noticed already that FB spreads your ad spend evenly over 24 hours. Well, what do you think happens when there are only 8 hours left in the day, and you just increased your budget by 4x? Facebook needs to do a lot of catching up. This catching up will ALWAYS lead to an increased CPC.

As others have said, you should have decreased your CPC before increasing the budget. Because usually you shouldn't see a 300% rise in CPC from a high spend increase, I've seen increases of 25-30%. If you had dropped your CPC bid down to 50c; then you might have ended up with only a 30% CPC increase.

From now on, keep in mind that any drastic changes to the spending limit of a campaign should only be done in the wee hours of the new day. You never want Facebook's system to do a catchup since it will fuck you over.

Good thing though is that you should be able to drop your bid to about 50c right now, and wait for the new day to start, and your CPC's will be back to normal; and you'll be back to making green.

Appreciate your thoughtful response btw gruninzzz, wish there were more members like you around here. Since the OP did spend 22 bucks I take back my previous post... I think that's enough money spent to acquire statistically significant data. Yep, my suggestion is just lower your bid when you hike up your budget that way to prevent this from happening.
