Sorry for the shit I gave you earlier bro, i'm usually not like that lol.I'm planning on grabbing xrumer next month to test out a bunch of this stuff as well, every day something gets me more pumped to get it!
I'm interested in how much you can really do with pummeling 2.0 props with links to beef up how they push up a site.
I think this type of case study needs like 5-10 domains tested as I've had these type of links do completely different things to different sites for no apparent reason.

Eli was suggesting using competitors articles to get backlinks to your site (which is what everyone is doing duh), not how to sandbox your competitor's site.

All those same articles on thousands of sites creates a massive duplicate content penalty opportunity. So the worst choice you can make is to go through the articles published on your site and submit them.

My results so far in my personal crap link vs real link portfolio is as such:
2 sites
same niche, same keywords, neither site emd but with kw in it
site A:
started a couple months before site B, has a wide variance of backlinks using every major provider here for the most part. spent a couple thousand on the site as of now.
site B:
uses nothing but months of DFB to the main page and tons of scrapebox links, bad ones...I use this domain to test runs instead of using a fake domain..lol.
Site A hovers between 3 and 5 on the first page for the main keyword
Site B spends most of its time in the sandbox but when it comes out for a week at a time it is ranked at 16th.
for the secondary keyword site A is ranked 1 and B is ranked 4
I just think google likes to flip coins.
neither the super mini net nor the hoth moved site A an inch when i tried..but all of them together will at some point.

I can't believe you're still whining about that one. Listen I don't know which post you're referring to with Zingo since you didn't link it so I can't speak from him but yeah I'm not going to censor honest commentary. I will, however, delete redundant and grating comments as I made clear in that thread when you were going at it with the other guy in a manner most unfitting for a service provider, IMO. I could have deleted those comments both of you made after I made that statement but, I also know stupidity usually dies out on it's own. Deleting is the absolute last resort for me. Also dupe content penalty wat? I just submitted 4 unique articles off a freshly indexed site to ezine and went from page five to high page two.
