Start aff marketing jan1st 2007... made about 400 dollars last month... Just working one offer/campaign...

Friday... I set up 10 different affiliate campaigns. I'm making a KILLLLLLLLLLLLLLING.... So... Everyone get off your ass and get in the game. Take all those excuses and throw them out the window. I'm going to set up 10 campaigns a day for M-F. I really don't have the money to test 50 more campaigns but heh. Once I get my arbitrage check in the bank CA BAM! flip the adwords switch.

"I'll just make lunch then I'll do an affiliate campaign.."

"Actually, now it's after lunch, I'll watch a quick episode of Family Guy THEN I'll do a campaign.."

"Stuff it, it's 6pm, I'm not working now.."

Nice Motivation

It is motivational to hear that other people are scoring with just over one month experience. Although it seems a little hard to believe.
You must mean 400 dollars revenue not 400 profit, two very different things, particularly if you spent a thousand dollars to get it.
 
besides who is going to try to motivate us by saying they lost $400 ? just because you haven't gotten internet marketing to work, doesn't mean others haven't figured it out.

So, elephant, I'm not going to be the fucktard that asks you what niche or offer you're running, but I assume you're doing ppc direct to merchant to be able to create 10 campaigns in a day?

No, i'm creating landing pages. It takes about 15 minutes. I have very high CTR. I'm really not preselling. I don't know how to write and I don't know how. I know it sounds stupid..... but I don't know how. Evenutally... I'll see which ones actually convert then hire someone to make a better landing page and actually write a sales letter.
 
Yeah, I gave Affiliate Marketing a try and can't complain so far. Started mid january, made $200, most of that in the last couple of days. So far I'm up to $300, and I'm looking to break $x,xxx this month. And that is taking into account ppc cost, which are at this moment only theoretical, as I got quite a lot of coupons to burn through :D

So how do your landing pages look like? Just some basic info about the product?
 
My biggest problem is finding offers in niches for which I don't have to pay $1+ per click to get any half-decent traffic flowing.
 
I think the problem people have with getting off there ass is Information Overload. There is just so much information on the Net and Good post on the forums that people get side tracked and never fully complete one project.


Just stick to one damn thing and master it. Then move on!

Oh yeah, and my second biggest problem is getting over the "I just spent $100 on ppc and didn't make any sales" hump enough to do it again the next day.

I know your pain. I spent 40 dollars to promote an 11 dollar offer with no sales. Their landing page sucks so badly you couldn't give that shit away. I won't "out" the company but it has to do with business cards.(now everyone knows who it is) I'm new at this... I didn't like their landing page... AT ALL... but i didn't listen to myself (i'm a newb what do i know.)
 
promoting business cards? You will have more success promoting something you have a lot of background knowledge about.
 
That is a very popular category. You tyink it is gonna be easy just buying some Adwords ads, stick a few affiliate links, and the sales start pouring in while you sit back and count your money? I wish it was that simple.

Yeah, I know it's not that easy, but then every now and then some asswipe like Elephant (sorry Elephant, I kid, I kid) comes along and makes a post about how he makes 10 grand a week shitting in his hands and selling it as moisturizer... It's both motivational and disheartening at the same time :)

They got a sucky ass landing page... Do you know which offer i'm talking about? Its got more leaks than a strainer. 1/10 of the page has the offer that you're promoting. Really horrible setup.
