His whole point in posting this thread is to get feedback on tweaking his site so it will generate the results he's shooting for.

He got some suggestions to work on and if it's optimized correctly, there shouldn't be any reason why he won't see the money rolling in.

If you're planning to just shit in every thread, there's not much point to posting because there's no value in your posts.

Even if you're going to say something is fucked up, you should give some suggestions of what would work, if you're such a 'hot ass'.

Put up or shut up.

The reason the money isn't "rolling in" is because my site pretty much sucks. I'm getting targeted traffic affordably... that's the point... optimize the SITE so that visitors are comfortable clicking through and making a purchase and filling out personal information.

If the niche sucks and you say it will never convert, why do you keep reading this thread? If it's so pointless than go away...

By the way, thanks for everyone (elses) input thus far. This should make for an interesting read... and once I do some more updates it should only get better.

Thats the same kind of rationale compulsive gamblers use. The money is there..one more ticket..more more hand..

Also, I am contributing to the discussion by telling trigatch that he is wasting his time pursuing those niches and he should find less competitive ones.
 
good thread here - i was just starting to build a test aff site to get away from arb for a while...

So I take it that most people here agree to make your site focus on one type of product (ie weightloss, beauty, etc.)?

Why can't you make a site focusing on "great deals!" and group each type of deal under is own subdir (ie health deals, beauty deals, etc.)? I know I've seen sites out there like this - are they just losing money, or is this something that is much more difficult to do than it seems...
 
I created just such a "great deals" site that I've been using for my experiments with affiliate sales, really no more than just as a domain to host the landing pages though. Not much success so far, but I'm still learning...
 
Reefer, that's exatly what I plan on doing this weekend... and improving the content. Add more "tiers" to the site so that people interested in weight loss, in genereal, aren't going to be viewing other categories unless they navigate backwords towards them. And of course improving content.
 
good luck - i am in the process of doing the same...

as much as I love arb b/c it works so well and is so easy, i'm getting tired of submitting my kw's and shit to the PPC sites...so until I can find an auto submit program or have one built for me I think I will try my hand at some aff :)
 
I'm sure you have plenty of suggestions to work off now, but here are a few more (some may have been mentioned):

- My landing pages do best when I get straight to the point. As it is, if I landed on that site, I'd be immediately distracted by the products on the left and the header at the top. I'd consider doing away with the products on the left and minimizing the size of your header. Tweak until you can't help but be drawn to the headline.

- Your headline texts don't really grab me. I personally do best when I list a benefit of some variety in the headline. "Heard about Hoodia?" is catchy, but there's nothing to it.

- Work on your ad copy. Remove the fluff. The first two sentences of your descriptions are pretty much useless. Get right into the products.

- Split up the copy. Right now you have a few paragraphs of text, with a couple links mixed in. When I see several paragraphs of boring looking text, I'm already looking for reasons not to read it. Put a list in, hightlight some text, underline, use italics, etc. Of course using all of these might make it look over the top, but mix it up and test. The body of your copy needs to keep me interested.

- Give a call to action! Tell them what you want them to do, and make it clear. At first glance (and even after reading your entire page), it appears that you provide nothing more than information. I understand what you're trying to do, but put yourself in the buyers shoes. I know that if I was searching online for the best place to buy hoodia, and I stumbled upon your site, I would hit the back button on my browser immediately. I don't have the patience to sift through paragraphs of text to determine whether or not I can actually buy something at this site.

I was clicking on an offer yesterday (some skincare product or the other) and
was directed to a "smileys" offer.

That won't do, I am afraid, still got that acne.

Hmmmm... maybe the smileys was meant for the "great teeth" section... haha JK

It was probably a redirect because of geographical issues. I remember some of these offers being USA only... where are you?
 
It's geotracking.

Use proxify.com to look at it from a US-based geo origin.

If you're getting smileys or lottos which are intl offers, it means you're 'seen' by their system as non-US or whatever the offer validity might be.
 
OK, sorry for that, my fault.

Looked at it from work (switzerland) and all proxies are killed here... pretty good and up to date blacklist, I must say.
