I thought that you were using your own copy... I remember when you were first using the system you and I talked about the keywords.

It's clear that the doc share sites are not being built on some of your linpushes and we'll address that and get it set up properly.

The article links need to be addressed also. In the newest completed linkpush there are only 4 tier 1 articles. heres what it looks like:

Web 2.0 Posts (13)
Article Tier 1 Posts (4)
Bookmarks (8)
Article Tier 2 Posts (11)
Doc Share Posts (0)
Microblogging Posts (3)

Even bookmarks are lacking.

Today, we are replacing some of the servers that have not been processing properly and that may have caused some of the issues as well.

Things might process a little slow over the next few hours due to the changes.

A number of people have asked this question and I'm not sure it has been answered before so here it is

How do I target one keyword more than others in a single linkpush?

The answer is to use it multiple times in the keywords list. So lets way your main keyword is "blue widgets" and you want some variety for anchor text but you mainly want your anchor text to be "blue widgets". You can setup your keywords list like this

blue widgets,red widgets,blue widgets,blue widgets

In this case, "blue widgets" has a 75% chance of being used as the anchor text and "red widgets" has a 25% chance.

So has the issues been sorted for new link pushes to complete properly? Shall I submit new pushes?

I read the 6 pages of comments so forgive me if I missed this... but can we put a couple of links in the article body using <a href> tags?

Surfer Dude,
You can, but a number of the tier 2 article sites and some blog sites will not publish them. If you are happy with that then its fine to do that

If 60 is supposed to be the average number of properties per push, I have been pretty unlucky, getting between 25 and 45 all the time.

A big problem right now is that about 20%-30% of sites fail, which is ok with an automated tool like this, but then the system goes and creates a bunch of additional properties which points to the properties which failed in the first place. So you are stuck with a bunch of properties which look good when you run them through a link checker but in reality do you no good, so you end up wasting time on looking that stuff up manually.

Something you really really should implement is to be able to choose how many properties we want and the ratio of how many properties point at the money site an how many at other created properties, and let the end user worry about the randomization factor. If not for the standard pushes then at least for the manual submission.

Hi Calamity,
Your average is a little low, PM me your username and I will take a look. We have implemented a link checker which will detect and replace failed posts, this is in place but we have just setup extra servers to deal with this and other features we are rolling out over the weekend. Failed posts are not only replaced but bookmarks/articles pointing to failed posts are also replaced

Your idea is a good one, to have an advanced options part to allow users have more control over their link pushes and we will take that as a feature to implement in the near future.

BTW one of the new features being added over the weekend will dramatically increase the links generated in each push, with an extra layer of links from a new source, Greg will give more details when it is rolled out

I've not received a reply from either you or Linkpush on my question.

In your reply to Calamity, you said you'll take a look at his account. We were at the same place 2 weeks ago where you looked at my account. My latest linkpush is 45 links. I don't see any improvement. Very disappointed in this service.

Hi SeoReborn,
Firstly, apologies, I should have sent you an email, I actually addressed your issues, I'm not sure why I didn't reply, its not something I normally forget to do.
I had a quick look at your list of pushes and the following are the averages for your pushes

Blog Posts : 17.5 / push
Articles 1 : 14.3 / push
Articles 2 : 14.2 / push
Bookmarks : 12.9 / push
Microblogs : 4.5 / push
Docs : 3.6 / push

This gives you an average of 67 / push, I know individual pushes can look light but with randomization overall you get a good average and its safer.
The extra layer we are adding should increase the average to between 87-117 per push

We've got pushes going out today, the 5th, the 7th and the 9th - can you PLEASE hold those until you add the extra layer?

Our first push on the 1st was also on the low side with high failures:

Web 2.0 (18)
- 2 failed
Article Tier 1 (3)
Bookmark (11)
- 2 failed
- 3 linked to failed Web 2.0 links
- 1 linked to an article that was not mine
Article Tier 2 (11)
- 10 failed
Micro Blogging (5)

With all the failures we got 30 links out of the possible 48...

Help! :(

The average is actually 57/push.

heres the break down

Altogether 53 + 56 + 58 + 62 + 67 + 61 + 63 + 39 + 53 + 58 = 570. So average = 57/push. This is below average of 60. The later linkpushes are well below average after being told the issue have been sorted - 39, 53, 58 link pushes. So the average after being notified its sorted is 50. So is the issue sorted? Can I add more linkpushes?

What is this extra layer?

Hi

Hi, i tried to email you twice and i also sent a pm in wickedfire, please kindly reply and launch my link pushes at once as agreed on PM, i am a little bit worried about not getting any answers from you so far.

thanks

I'm not sure if you are the guy that just emailed me, if you are its done, if not, PM me your username

Yesterday's push, (3/3) doesn't look much better:

Web 2.0 (14)
Article Tier 1 (2)
Bookmarks (11)
- 2 delicious bookmarks failed
Article Tier 2 (12)
- ALL 12 FAILED
Doc Share (3)
Micro Blogging (3)

45 links - 14 failed = 31

So far I have been disappointed. At this rate I will get 150 links per month for my $60...

Am I expecting too much?

Hi Surfer Dude,
Its not expecting too much, but there are reasons for some of the things you are seeing.
The Tier 2 articles, the link we provide in the report is to help you find the published article, we don't know when/where your article is published. Its one of the reasons we split articles into tier 1 and 2. We know that the link does not work for a number of articles. What we are doing here is phasing out article sites that either don't publish quickly or we can't find the published article. We are also adding an extra layer of links aswell which should be in place on Monday.
PM me your username and I will take a look for you. Also the link checker will check and re-queue all failed links automatically. We had to hold off until we moved to new servers to roll it out but we will do that this weekend aswell

Is the site not working until Monday after the updates? When I try to login it says "Username or password incorrect" - but I've not changed anything.

Here's the stats for my push that went out 3/4-6:

Web 2.0 (19)
- 3 failed and re qeued
Article Tier 1 (2)
Bookmarks (10)
- 1 failed
- 4 link to failed Web 2.0 articles
Article Tier 2 (12)
- 9 failed
Doc Post (3)
Microblogging (6)

So we got 35 out of a possible 52... are these the best numbers we can expect?
