Your a fucking shit head! most of the questions thus far have pertained to the whole process leading up to the guidelines mentioned, and from what I gather is directed toward newbs for the most part, so what the hell did you expect? Whats wrong with someone not knowing and asking questions? We were all fresh at one time. why come off like a snide little prick?
 


I agree, just don't post if you're not going to contribute anything useful. As for questions, if any of you have a question, don't mind to ask. We were all new to this game, and I'm more then willing to help anyone who wants me to.
 
to all wordpress newbies: don't forget, to change the standard configuration for the permalinks generated.

you will find the options under the menuitem: options -> permalinks.

there, change the permalinks into something seo-friendly. either take the second option e.g. or come up with something yourself. the documentation on that page gives a pretty good idea what your permalinks can look like.

if you change this later it will be a pain in the ass, as some users might have bookmarked you already and changing the permalinks will render those useless.

Oh, please I'm not bashing here, but don't ask for people's niches. If you want to make it in this business, try and do something yourself once in a while. Finding a profitable niche is not particulary hard and you can't expect us to do work you should do yourself.

Tax season is coming up very soon, that's why I mentioned it as one of the niches. Snowboarding and winter sports are very untapped and underrated niches as well. Both can be very profitable if chosen correctly.

We are almost ready to go here, just making some new adjustments to staff and support stuff behind the scenes here and we will begin as soon as we are confident enough to make sure all stragglers can be assisted as well. Should be a fun project!!
 
I'm in. I just got an idea for a niche site the other day and registered the domain. I know how to build websites.. so hopefully I can get it up and running tonight in time for the deadline tomorrow :D

From my research it seemed like a profitable niche, but I don't know what I'm doing so if it fails miserably, hopefully you guys can tell me why.

I just bought the a domain for that niche taxrefnd.com.
I plan on using it for this test. Right now it's being forwarded until we get things rolling.
 
I have my blog setup, with 90% of all editing done to the layout, and SEO stuff. I'm adding plugins and other stuff tomorrow.

The site is Why Smoking Stinks I'm doing this mainly because I do not like smoking, and I can write a lot of stuff on why NOT to smoke since ive been trying to get some of my family to stop smoking.

Let me know when we need to start the process of everything. I'm going to start my daily posting tomorrow.

Nice site...did you do your header yourself? Just curious how you did it was it with photoshop? Also i read somewhere that you should put ads on till your blog gets index?? Thats what i heard i may be wrong...Nice though!!:rasta:
 
Yes, I used photoshop for the header. Just something simple. I might change it in the next few days, but the origional picture was of the woods. lol. I'm also thinking of removing one of the google ads on the sidebar and putting an affiliate banner when I take some time to find one.
