Id like to know from you guys (although women may know better), which is a good place to buy a decent mid range non-engagement diamond ring from. The store has to offer international shipping. Hopefully someone has done this before. And, as always with tradition, boobies will accompany this question.

James Allen (Aff link) is the best I've come across. Their jewelry is beautiful and competitively priced. They offer international shipping with insurance, for free.

I haven't bought diamonds from Blue Nile but everything else from them has been top quality. I wouldn't hesitate buying from them.

Blue Nile and Ice.com are both reliable sellers. Zales is okay, but their stuff is closer to shopping mall quality.

Some lucky girl is getting a nice ring. One day it should happen to me. :)

If you post your choice WF will give you tons of opinions.

I worked at Tiffany and Co. for three years so if you have any questions PM me. Personally I'd never buy from Ice.com but I"d highly recommend Blue Nile and Brilliant Earth.

I bought the diamond for my wife's ring from WhiteFlash, and then had it set locally. This gave me a local jewelery store to have the ring sized, and maintained.

There's an insane amount of information about buying an engagement ring in this thread at fatwallet and it's actually where I learned everything about the stone I bought.
Diamond/engagement ring considerations

Good luck.

Diamond ring? Dude you must have carpal tunnel syndrome writing enough $1/100 words content to buy diamonds!

Just kidding man, congratulations! (if she accepts, of course)

Dude. It has taken a while to get where I am today. I never did say content writing is the only thing I do. Its the only service I provide. I do a lot more crap on the web. Thanks for the wishes. I plan to do it by the second week of April.

Not a fan of two-tone stuff, but it seems better than B.

I got a 1.5 flawless solitare set in a totally white setting/ring for my wifey, just in time to realize that I hate everything about diamonds and wish they would be banned from the jewelry industry permanently. If she's not dead-set on diamonds, you can get something much more stunning in another rock like a ruby.
