Where would you live if not in the US?

iran dude,

throw the xbox in the trash, i wanna run around with a real AK47 shooting anything that moves.

Food actually costs more now in Beijing than it does in Hong Kong due to inflation. So I'm not sure how Hong Kong is over priced. It also has very low income taxes.

Sure property is expensive in HK, but it's also an awesome investment. The laws here are great if you want to be a landlord and earn rental income.

No food is cheaper in Beijing for sure, more than half price.

I like Hong Kong, I just could not see myself living there. Been there quite alot, used to live in Macau.

Haha...i always wonder where these reports get their figures from. Comparing a few things like the price of a Big Mac says nothing. I for one know that the price of starbucks is actually cheaper in hong kong, but when it comes to food overall it is much cheaper in Beijing, by far

Okay you keep telling yourself that.

You might want to inform the mainlanders from neighboring Shenzhen about this too since they seem to love to come here to purchase food.

Last time I check Beijing was not Shenzhen.
Anyway, agree to disagree. If you ever come up north, I will take u on a cheap food tour:)

You're right, Beijing isn't Shenzhen, but like Beijing it uses the Yuan as its currency instead of the Hong Kong dollar.

I haven't been to Beijing yet, so I can't really directly compare it. Though when I do visit, I will take you up on your offer :)

OP: Listen to Onkelmicha and onlinemoniez, and Pat J.

USA's dominance is over as it's simply a flawed way of living. 99.9% of america is in debt to the corporations here, and we very are likely headed for a revolution... In the meantime the opportunities are drying up left and right while the separation between rich and poor is growing by a huge margin.

I would say UK sounds good, but the problem that made the US so bad is starting to catch on there too. -So that's a good place to visit, but if you're planning on settling down, don't get too comfy there either.

My advice: Travel all of Europe... Even if you have to stay in hostels (Which was damn fun and I met 50 hotties from all over doing exactly that) see all of Europe and pick one for yourself. Board of Europe, head to Thailand... Very different but interesting there.

I'm in Seoul now and it's alright, but def. not a longterm plan. Worst fucking weather in the world.

I'd love to go back to Spain or Southwest France.

London is a great place to live if you're young, you have cash, and you want to have fun. If you're poor, forget it. And if you're foreign and you don't have an education from a western university, then you'll have no chance of getting on the ladder. Sure salaries are higher, but the cost of living is so high that it will suck everything you make up. New York is exactly the same.

If you're an internet marketer (or want to get into it) then I'd advise you strongly to stick around in a country with a low cost of living. Your business will grow a lot faster if you don't have a high cost of living to contend with. When you're ballin, you can move where you like.

i've visited most major cities in the world and, other than London, the place I'd most like to live is Bangkok. The nightlife is superb, the people are friendly, everyone speaks English, the cost of living is low, and the food is great. On the surface, it seems like a shithole, but after a few days of exploring I began to fall in love with it.

Tokyo is incredible too, but if you're not Japanese then life there would be difficult.

Worst place to live would be Hong Kong. Dirty, noisy, expensive shithole.

If it were me, I'd be looking hard at Brazil.

But really... if you make your monies online the only factors are quality of life and bang for the buck. That opens up some pretty goddamn awesome places that most "successful" American corporate warriors can only dream about.

Nice troll there, but Hong Kong is considered a developed economy with excellent first world infrastructure. 30 megabit broadband costs me 30 bucks a month here and includes IPTV.

HK isn't dirty, especially compared to New York and Boston. I've been to Bangkok. It's a lovely place, but definitely more dirty than Hong Kong.

Hong Kong has some of the lowest violent crime rates in the world. You don't have to worry about being mugged here like you do in London. Only Singapore has lower crime, but it's super strict while HK is quite liberal.

Hong Kong has excellent food and it has a very diverse amount of restaurants. Nightlife is also top notch here.

I don't find HK more noisy than any other city I've ever been to.

As far as HK being expensive, well yes HK has some of the most expensive property prices in the world. These properties are also excellent investments too.

I wouldn't recommend Hong Kong to someone who is a newbie to Internet Marketing. However, if you got the IM game locked down and you love Chinese culture then Hong Kong is one of the most business friendly places to be in with lots of opportunities.

Also I happen to find the city here rather charming with its unique hilly terrain

Hong Kong is a place people either love or hate. I happen to love it here.

American is no longer the land of opportunity, trust me. . . Not sure where you heard this . . . no one I know has a job. Most younger people have a shit-ton of debt if they went to college, too. And I think a lot of people would agree that the U.S. is deteriorating pretty quickly. Expect the next American Revolution in a few years . . .

In short, the U.S. is extremely overrated. A lot of people are suffering here right now.

This. Shit's gonna get crazy here in the next couple years. And yeah we have a good time but don't believe the hype :\
