Google 7th spot is cursed?

5 of my websites has gone trough the same process:

Were ranking in top 4-5, on the 1st page.

Then moved to 7th spot and disappeared. Scenario was the same for 5 times.

All of the websites were EM or almost EM. The differences were:

1st site was 1 year old. Didn't do much link building to it. Mostly blog comments and linked submitted to related sites. Content: mixed - scrapped + original articles. Was occupying 3-5 spot for about 9 months. Then moved to 7th spot and disappeared.

2nd site was only 1 month old. EM jumped quickly to first page but to the 7th spot. Disappeared. Content: mixed - scrapped + original. Links: mostly blog comments on related blogs. Later on bookmarks + directory submissions.

3rd site almost EM. Content: 100% original. Links: do follow bookmarks, directory submission, small link wheel. Moved to 7th spot... and when I saw it there I said to myself "you will not see it tomorrow". And it disappeared.

Same happened with 2 another sites. All are hand-coded. But they differ: got different links profile, different anchor distribution, are in different niches etc.

Now I got another 2 almost exact match sites coming but I predict they will and up the same. Go to 7th spot and disappear.

All of them are still indexed but look like they are sandboxes. Used different ways to take the out of the box (adding content, building links) but nothing helps.

Ever happened to your site? Why it is always 7th spot?

Firstly, I'm here too long to fall for your link and last time I clicked it was in 2009.

Secondly, you don't post dickroll links in newbie section dickhead, it was created to ask even stupid questions. Do you see this question posted in other section of WF? No. Do you see me disturbing any serious discussion on WF? No.

Whats EM? And whats TIA?
 
Well, I read some study that if your on the first page for any keyword - yet ranked number #5 - your guaranteed to get no more than .002% of the traffic.

This thread is not about crying about sites being sandboxed. I just see something I did not witness before ,different sites same scenario. And I'm not the first person on WF who start the thread with "my site was on 7th spot and then..."
 
Not sure what the issue is but add some more unique content, toss some more links at it and see if it comes back. Without seeing your sites, analyzing your backlinks, the competition, etc ... there is little we can tell you. Google just did an algorithm update so maybe they deemed all your sites as not first page worthy, the timing was just a coincidence.

Im not bitching. Just trying to dumping possibly relevant information so that if some smuck with to much time on his hands wanted to study random related shit they could take a shot at it. :angryfire:
