Are you guys doing anything different to get indexed on Bing/Yahoo in addition to what you're doing for Google? I have a site that went live a little over two weeks ago and is already ranking well for my keywords on Google. It's not even on the radar with Bing/Yahoo. What gives?

I know I can submit the site manually to the search engines, but I remember reading that manual submission may hurt my rankings. Should I just continue to build organic back links and wait for it to be indexed naturally? Suggestions?

I have a site that's almost three months old (they grow up so fast ^^), on page 1 (top 3) for its primary keyword and tons of little ones, has hundreds of recognized backlinks, has ~30 pages, has been pinged and bookmarked a bunch of times over, gets solid traffic etc. etc. etc.

But it's not even in the top 500 on Yahoo or Bing.

Anything I should know about the difference between ranking for google and ranking for bing? Besides bing getting less traffic.

Login to their webmasters central, validate your site, and submit your sitemap there manually at least once a month. That helped me.

Exact keyword rich title, keyword rich domain name, keyword in url + links with exact keyword worked well for me for Bing. If you target specific country maybe add country in title like "keyword keyword UK". I had some success with simple link-wheel.

But all of these are just my suggestions, or guessing rather than tested stuff. So don't treat it as a guide.

Bing just sucks. One of my sites has 1,180 or so pages indexed in Bing, while Google is up to 3,323,650.

No, because there isn't enough traffic, (in most niches), to justify the time and effort.

Google and Bing have different ranking algorithms, that should not come as a surprise.

It's really ridiculous how these rumors get around.

Bing and Yahoo are just slower. Wait for a bit.

True.

Good advice.

You have 3 million pages from one site indexed with Google?

If "getting indexed" matters, you should be earning a nice pay check.

Hoping to have 10 million+ in a few months. It sucks what two hours of downtime can do to you though.

Eh, you might find that bing/ yahoo are a heck of a lot easier to rank for.
When I was completely knew my first 50$ day was from their traffic. - Google stuck my crap site on page 2-3 and they put me right at the top/

There are no separate techniques to be followed for getting indexed in Yahoo! and Bing.

Where on the earth you read that manual submission may hurt your ranking? Manual submission yeilds maximum quality.

Yahoo! and Bing indexing rate are bit slow so you need to wait and keep building quality backlinks in the mean time.

saying the truth I also don't understand this search engine algorithm - but I guess they just doesn't that matter. also if you success in G then it will help you with both of them so... just promote in G
