Unexpected Affiliate Sale

What should I do with self-betterment.com?

Awhile back I linked you all to an attempt I made at driving affiliate sales for health products at Make Yourself Better and Improve Your Life

After the site was pretty much crudded on, I decided I would throw it in the garbage and make it one of the sites to pursue for the Winter Case Study. I was planning on doing that today, but when I checked azoogle it had made a $30 sale for me. And, there is currently no ppc advertising up. In the past week the site got 3 organic clicks and this is where the lead came from.

So... should I leave the site as is and make improvements and add content? Or, should I turn it into a wordpress site and do the same thing?

I'm going to go with the poll results...
 


The winter case study isn't really happening yet... so I'd focus on making it work through organic traffic.

Make it user oriented, and drive a bit more traffic. Though your conversion rate probably won't stay 33%, the fact is that you know that it can make money. If it aint broke don't fix it :)
 
Well, I would just copy/past the current content into wordpress pages. Set it up nice so I could make daily posts. I should also point out that I drove about $40-$50 of ppc traffic with no conversions. Kind of ironic.
 
Hmm... well, what kind of PPC traffic was it and what were the keywords. From what I've read the site is more geared toward someone actively looking to buy something, not to make a sale from someone just browsing.
 
I had a ton of keywords. Everything ranging from "weight loss" keywords, to product names, to "buy" product names to "review" keywords. All sending to the most relevant URL on the site.

I'm thinking I'll just start a self-betterment/blog, load that up with WP and link to it from the main site.

Sounds to me like you want to do WP anyway, so I'd just go for that. Or, better yet, split test them both and see what converts better.
