Personally, I go to craigslist and pretend to be a women and tuck in my dick and take pictures and e-whore my way to the money / subscriptions.
well in my niche:
PPC->email capture
Email-> promo offers -> $$$$
However, it does help to have a site that isn't crap

Cpa offers? The only problem I see there is that most advertisers are building their own lists and will ultimately dilute yours. I have held off on mailing a handful of offers because of this but maybe I have the wrong perspective.
Nah, I work directly with a couple of merchants in the financial newsletter business.
Advantages and disadvantages. Big advantage is that I trust the people I work with.
When I first broke into IM, I made some monies with CJ running Ebay stuff, and then ebay took over the affiliate network and screwed everybody.
That soured me on working with people I don't know and can't trust. It took a LONG time to find some trustworthy people to work with, but it paid off in the end.
Off-topic I guess, but I'm trying to make a point here.
I never personally worked much with mailers over at EWA Network, we just don't have the infrastructure setup well over there. I've been referring the people that need the creatives, suppression lists, etc over to Eli @ Above All Offers - An affiliate network for those on top - It's nice being on top. because he's hooked me up before in the past.
