Don't alll the premium tools use YSE API as the "major/primary" source of their Backlinks? WIth YSE, even they won;t be so accurate would they? Or what do they use?

I bet SEOMOZ are pretty chuffed about this news. The problem with their tool is that they update monthly (I usually like to monitor/record links each week).

What will this change? I use YSE all the time but aren't there a number of tools that do the same thing?
There are a variety of solutions out there that can fill their place. One great one has been mentioned in this thread. It's not that big of a loss

It's going to be a big PITA. It's going to break a ton of apps, scripts, and plugins for FireFox.

I'm with ly2, the mind boggles at how many WP plugins alone out there are based upon YSE backlink counts.
Worse yet, tools like MNF and SEO Elite, they depend on a rock-solid API... WTF are they going to do?

a good tool will be modified accordingly.
The bottom line is that our favorite backlink data source when checking Google Rankings isn't a Google tool but a Yahoo tool, so it's not as big of a deal as you are all making it out to be. We're just moving from one 3rd party tool to another essentially.
Unless everyone here is a Yahoo SEO expert.
