Would the comments stay on the page with PR or get pushed off eventually as more comments come in?

In most cases I see the opposite, new comments get sent to a new page without pr, the trick is getting on the pr page first.

There are many tricks to avoid this.
1) Reply to top most comment post
2) Post on pages where comments are arranged like old comments on top and newer comments slipped to next pages.So just find a new page where only few comments and comment on.
3) Do not post comment on blogs where recent comments come on top and older slip to next page.
