So there were 6,000 police on the streets yesterday and apparently they will have 16,000 out around the capital tonight. I hope some damage gets inflicted against these criminals before it spreads any further.

Do you guys remember the Koreans' response to the 1992 Los Angeles riots?

Ahhh, Koreans. Awesome people. Friendly, patient, charming, and fun-loving (I know a lot of 'em). But don't fuck with the businesses they've poured their lives into.
 
London, like Europe has changed dramatically the last 20 years

There are tides of immigrants that have come to France, Holland, England, etc. Unlike the US, which is basically all immigrants, Europe was originally a bunch of individual countries that fought like hell for their turf. So this immigration has sparked a lot of emotion on all sides of the issue.
 
People are calling for the army but I'm undecided whether it would be a good idea or not. Soliders aren't going to shoot rioters, so are they just going to stand around under a hail of bricks? Not going to look great having the army on the streets of London wither.

Not to mention that most troops are abroad - even the majority of the TA apparently.

They can use water cannons and rubber bullets; also people seem to respect the army more then the police so it might help. The damage needs to stop and these criminals need to be locked up I cant see this ending any time soon its spreading. I’m glad I’m way up north for once.

This is fucked, the guy from the video that's been passed around is a Malaysian (I know where he lives), heading out to grab some food cuz he was fasting (muslim), although he look like a douchebag (jeans and sandals? and listen to k-pop wtf?), these guys that did that to him deserve to be murk.

The first group beat him up and left him with a broken jaw and teeth. and the second group/passer-bys helped him up and then took his wallet and a PSP.
