I rarely post about politics, but I wanted to have your opinions on the situation in Syria. I find it kinda funny how the West immediately jumped in Lybia when Gaddafi started shooting civils, and now we have 10 times worse happening in Syria for months, and no action has been taken from the West yet. Let alone the UN or NATO.

Hypocrisy of the West?

Syria: Troops Shoot At Protesters, Two Dead

Um... Gaddafi wasn't shooting civilians. They are after him for his money, for switching to gold standard and being one of the only countries who actually makes a profit. The USA has been trying to Gaddafi for over 20 years. Ronald Reagan even tried to assassinate him while he was in office. Gaddafi himself was the leader of a real revolution, its how he go into leadership. The current revolution is lead by the french. The president of france even admitted to spreading propaganda and placing leaders in their country to do so. Libya Rebels Being Armed By French Military

The current president of syria was put in place by the CIA and because of this we will not attack them. CIA activities in Syria - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Educate yourself, bitch.

Zimbabwe is also considering switching to gold standard.

I'm no expert but off the top of my head:

Syria is a useful bulwark against militant Islam.

It's a sponge for the Iraqi problem (I have a Syrian friend who works with Iraqi orphans in Damascus - they are in the main completely foobar'd).

Syria is a pain in the ass for Israel, hence the Israeli need for more weapons from the US.

Russia is a big friend of Syria.

capitalism makes every currency volatile, you're seeing a gold boom right now, just like the housing boom 6 years ago. gold prices will peak out and then freefall to their actual levels, countries with gold stanard will suffer.

libya was about central banking i think. They called gadaffi a financial terrorist for wanting to restore some kind of value backed currency. Makes me fear for ron pauls chances even more.
