Just like the post asks do I have to send a legal notice to the domain registrar requesting the information because a site is defamating and posting personal information or does anybody else have a suggestion or hack?

Pm me for the site if u think u can help a WF member :bootyshake:

Find out the sites ip and go from there.

You can also contact the host they are on direct if they are posting info.

Email registrar and say you need the person's real contact information for whatever legal reason you want. They usually give it up.

Depends how bad you wanna get at them. The easiest way I've found is to hire a lawyer. My method is pretty simple, I pay a retainer, generally its $2500-$5000. Then anytime I need that type of information I pass it to him. The lawyer bills you at an hourly rate, and when the retainer runs out, you either move onto another lawyer, or keep the one you have. It all comes down to finding the right one that fits into your business model.

He lays on the juice, and gets me the information I need. Now naturally, having a working relationship with a lawyer over a period of time helps. Which is why you start with the 'retainer'.

In simplicity, if the domain owner has chosen to hide his personal information (whois private)then you cannot get the information easily. Registrar will never disclose the information no matter what. The only way I can think of is to send a legal notice.
