General questions won't get an answer here. Search the forum. You will need to build on organic results over time which means you'll have low traffic to start but if you start ranking in the organic results of Google, Yahoo, and MSN, you'll get cheap traffic.

How? Learn: SEO, SEM, link building, etc.

See ya in 2 months. It's how long this should take you to understand this market isn't easy and has a learning curve.

Hi There
If you are just getting started the cheapest way to get traffic to your site is through the Traffic exchanges, Manual traffic sites will get hits to your website and you will need a adtracker if you use different traffic exchanges at once. They are free, but If you want to get more bonus's you can later upgrade to their next level. Dan

Try to exchange links with other websites. Have lots of good content. I'm new too, and currently working on what I just mentioned. Search these forums, I'm sure there are lots of excellent tips to get you started.

Good luck

Do people use traffic exchanges in combination with PPC?

Which are the good Traffic Exchanges to use?

Are they targeted to Niches?

Is it wise to use numerous exchanges at once?

Asking how to get free or cheap traffic is kind of a loaded question. First you really should define your goal for your site.

Also, what kind of site is it? Some sites are easier than others to drive traffic to. Proxy sites, for example, can gain massive amounts of traffic in a short period of time through just a couple strategic links and link spam. On the other hand, some niches may be very difficult due to over / under saturation, lack of interest, etc.

So, my advice, sit down, figure out what your niche is, what your goals for your site are, what risks you are willing to take, and how much time and money you are willing to invest. When you know the answers to those questions, it will be easier to determine a marketing strategy.
