HP Touchpad Available Online Still

I could probably light my bowl with $100 bill and got more satisfaction. Although I'd like to see what I could do with the kind of traffic hitting that slickdeals thread on this:

I would like one of the 32gb to travel with. I like to travel, but not with my expensive Macbook Air. Everywhere I look they're gone. Anybody here still interested in selling?

its a simple hack that can be easily done for installing the android since its open source onto the touchpad.

Share here if you know.
Neither Honeycomb nor Gingerbread work on this device without crashing.
The only hope is to find an Ice cream hack, but it's not easy as you say.

Ok so I got my touchpad and I love it. Seriously this thing is great. webOS is awesome, I was able to overclock the device in 5 minutes using preware, and it runs very fast.

If these come back into stock you all need to buy one, they are worth at least $200 easy.

Looks like they'll be limiting it to one per person this time, I grabbed a few for my nieces and nephews and so far they like it.

I'm determined to get one in the second round, preferably the $149 model. Something cheap, light and fast to travel with is what I need, not my expensive Macbook Air. The keyboard accessory would make it a decent laptop(ish) travel computer for me.

Got mine and it is really nice. I wish they would have launched around $300, webOS looks way better than Android 3.1. I can't comment on how nice 3.1 is to use, but using webOS has been great.

i'm definitely buying another if i can in the 2nd round. I can't say enough about webOS. It does a lot of stuff right and in a lot of ways its got the best of both the iOS (clean, polished, consistent, not fragmented) and Android (customizable, notifications, flash) worlds and it has the absolute best multitasking, notification system, and native facebook app on any tablet anywhere. Its crazy easy to "root" and also synergy is great. I really think the reason this device wasn't a hit right out of the gate is because nobody knew wtf webOS was AND nobody was spending $500 on a tablet that wasn't an ipad. The ebay market has shown that the pricepoint for this is around $250 and thats with people worried about support ending. $275 would have worked well to gain marketshare and even if it that was ultimately first round break even, there is always app revenue.

Biggest shortcoming is number of apps, but hopefully with hp selling like 1 million of these things devs will keep going. Most of the ones that do exist are pretty good.

Thinking about this more, if amazon builds their tablet (with all of their vertical integration that they have), they really should build it on webos over android and sell it for sub $300. It could be an insanely awesome and profitable (with amazon purchases) device. Amazon is the ONLYcompany that can compete with Apple on vertical integration and ultimately lifetime roi. But they can only do that if they can kill apple on price and if their tablet ends up north of $300, thats not happening.

Also jumptap says that webos advertising is making more money than android advertising on tablets right now. Pretty interesting considering there is exactly one webos tablet and its been out for less than 1 quarter.
