But after reading a book on seo, I have started to understand how blogging works. Now, I have a lot of pages that no longer have any content connected to them. What do i do as far as correcting the links that no longer link to content. I do not plan on replacing them with any information. They currently just have a 301 redirects.
I plan on using a different template, now that i understand a few more things, so I plan on losing the traffic anyway. It would be easier if I could just erase all of my articles and just copy them and paste them back with the same url.
Whats the best way to go about this?

Yes - I would just 301 redirect them to the new pages.

You can keep the urls / content the same and just change the template right?

Maybe i didnt explain my situation well enough. Let me rephrase the question. What is the best seo solution for when you delete the content from a page on your blog and you do not want to replace the page with any content. You just want to delete the page all together?
I was reading that the link will always stay there unless you change it in some way and how its not good for ranking. Im not sure how to properly delete the page.

Yes i am just going to change the template.
