I've been reading about CPA for a few weeks. I've recently been accepted into a couple small CPA networks and Maxbounty. I've got a couple of others I'm pretty sure I can get accepted into, as well.

Everything I've been reading says the real profit from CPA offers is from slamming home targetted traffic from PPC or banner ads. I'd like to do that when I feel like I have adequate investment capital. In the meantime, Craigslist is usually a banned traffic source, and most of the content locked up by CPA offers seems to be copyrighted. Then there's the number of fraudulent black hat methods I've read about that could get me banned (or sued, if implemented on a large enough scale).

So anyways, I'm just curious if anyone's making a consistent profit at least around $50 from LEGITIMATE free/very cheap CPA advertising methods, and if so, (without giving away the farm to the jeopardy of your income) how are you doing it? Thanks.

1) buy domain
2) build content / sales copy
3) build quality backlinks or spend a few bucks in the BST here for a decent package
4) optimize and profit / Trash and start over

There is no mystery here. Talk to an AM at any network and let them help you pick an offer. Then build a decent site with some decent content and sales copy. Once you get all of that done then come back and start asking some more questions.

You can do build websites and get traffic through SEO. Or you could try something like article marketing.

But basically you need to build some kind of a bankroll before you can dive into paid search.

It's definitely an uphill battle but you gotta hustle if you wanna make it. Cut expenses, sell your shit, throw every cent you can into this.

If you can't make it, thousands upon thousands have failed before you. But this is definitely a quite rewarding industry if you can make it. And you'll definitely appreciate the barriers to entry when you're on the other side.

Building your own website and implementing some SEO to get free traffic from search engines is definitely the right away to go if you cannot delve into paid search. Not to mention, it's long term free traffic, and so pads your pocket when your paid search attempts don't quite pay off.

And you'll definitely appreciate the barriers to entry when you're on the other side.

I second this.

When getting in it looked like I was completely shut-out. You've probably felt the same but you just have to keep going. Looking back, those barriers are awesome, and there's a certain pride you feel having overcome them, and a certain happiness that they're still there to keep everybody and their grandmother from jumping in and whoring out your niches.

One tip that has been priceless for me: network. So many of my most profitable campaigns and ideas came from talking to other guys and learning what they were up to- tossing ideas around between ourselves. Next thing you know you stumble across a gold-mine. Lately I've been believing more and more that to make the serious coin, it takes alot of creativity and being slick. You're not going to get that by doing it alone, and certainly not by asking strangers on a forum. Do your best to build relationships with people in the industry. You'll get there man, just can't give up.

On that note, Dr. Ngo, whats up man? lol A while back a buddy and I ran into you in Buckhead. We were stopped at a light next to you in your GTR, we were in a blue E60 BMW M5... you may not remember though. Saw your plate and knew exactly who you were. lol
