What so special about LSI content vs "regular" or "other" content. I see people saying this as if it is really something special.

Anyone had an experience with it?

LSI just boils down to using related keywords in your content. It can help with long tail traffic in some instances

If you can please explain what long tail means..

Also, I would like to build 2 tier backlinks for a local business

I have this idea so far hoping for some opinions

a long tail keyword is something like this:

short tail: credit cards
long tail: credits cards for college studentst, secured credit cards, low interest credit cards

It's a meaningless marketing term based on some warriorforum-caliber conjecture about how Google worked in 2006.

Well said.

Generically speaking, long tail refers to the side profile of a bird. heh. Yah,
the slope is a long gradual downward slope where there is actually more
substance in the long slope of the tail than in the head of the graph.

So, as dchuk is showing you, there is more traffic in all the "extended"
keywords than in the original main keyword.

Thank you for clearing that up, I just didn't know that long tail was what it was called. Also if you can look at my crude drawing of my tiered backlinks do you have any advice?
