hi guys im new to the forum. just joined today infact :-)

im dan and from uk.

ok basically whats your opinions on using classified ad sites for affiliate marketing? does it work for you?

when i say classifieds, i mean sites like craigslist, gumtree, usfreeads and now the new facebook classified section

do you use any for affiliate products? if so do you have a hot list of sites that have converted well?

i have just started to dabble in the classifieds and have been using gumtree and cple others.

what do you guys think and do any of you use this method?

Of course it'll work. Pretty much anywhere you put a targeted msg will work. Now how easy it is to do that is a whole different story. Keep in mind as with any spamming method of getting your msg out there, IT'S ALL ABOUT VOLUME. You might make 10-20 cents per post on average, if you know what you're doing, but if you can make 1000 posts a a day that's pretty decent coin. Not gonna get you rich, but at least beer money :D

great stuff guys, ive been experimenting over the passed 5 days now with a cple of classified sites. mainly promoting physical items at amaozn and using my affil link

so far in 5 days ive made 2 posts a day and have made 5 sales to.

minimum sale i earnt from was 11 pounds commission, all others are higher :-)

so this does indeed work if played right

Are your posts getting flagged? How are you getting around that?

yeh some posts do get flagged but i tend to not concentrate on craigslist anymore. i mean there are to many ads getting pulled. u gotta play craisglist careful.. but other sites is fine. ive not had a ad removed yet. touch wood!!!

So, you're doing it all by hand then? How many ads can you get posted in an hour?

I've been looking at this sort of thing for a while, but I still can't imagine that non-craiglist classified websites get enough traffic to make it worthwhile.

yes this is true but some dont mind. and i dont use myspace either. i use a few sites where its been ok..

its even better if its ur astore cos u can promote that anywhere.

I started messing with non-CL classifieds yesterday. I only got through about 20 or so. If you can automate it, i think it's a good way to get 100-200 backlinks pretty easily. They'll expire eventually, but if you automate you can renew them. In any case, i'll see what happens with the traffic.

i was just about to post another thread lol. i was going to ask if there is such a tool that automates classified ad submissions. is there one out/ or maybe ill get a programmer to make one for me hehe

what do you think?
