R.I.P: Yahoo Site Explorer - Nov 21

[clyde]

You'll be missed.

Site Explorer Reminder

With the completion of algorithmic transition to Bing, Yahoo! Search has merged Site Explorer into Bing Webmaster Tools. Webmasters should now be using the Bing Webmaster Tools to ensure that their websites continue to get high quality organic search traffic from Bing and Yahoo!. Site Explorer services will not be available from November 21, 2011.

What's left?

Majestic SEO, Ahrefs and SEOmoz's OSE.

All paid tools. (except for OSE but OSE sucks so..)

Fuck!

What's wrong with paying?

It's the opposite of free.

It's the opposite of free.

But then you (should) get things like customer support and maybe even your interests aligning, so you get the data you want.

Ahrefs

I'm not paying money to count BL's, it's honestly not important enough to me.

You'd be surprised at how you can twist their backlink information that comes "in addition to" the number to get highly-relevant backlinks for yourself with very little work involved by just using pivot tables and filtering in Excel.

Besides, you honestly don't have to pay for most of their information, just get a RAW dump.

[JCash]

LOL bums crying about Gallo not making Ripple anymore.

[avatar33]

what's wrong with OSE? Why does it suck? I always used it.

[seohug]

MajesticSEO and OSE have enough data if you know how to use it. You don't have to stay on a monthly plan though, get what you need for projects and off you go.

[Coolof]

SEO spyglass is useless now?
