Jury duty tomorrow... how to get out?

Just go with what the next few posters suggest; you can't go wrong.

Might want to consider actually trying it. So many threads here about standing up for your rights and civil liberties, SOPA, Ron Paul, etc etc. But when it comes down to something where you can actually protect someone's rights, everyone supports bailing?

I've only been to jury duty once, and before the trial even fucking started, another juror stated "She's obviously guilty, why are we even here?" to the other jurors, several who agreed. I immediately informed the bailiff, the other jurors were removed from the courtroom, and I had to testify on what I heard. Not a doubt in my mind shit like that happens every day across this country.

You don't owe the accused jack shit, you don't deserved to be lectured, but if you scheme and lie to get out of jury duty, just know you had a hand in the decay of liberty and justice.

I know my original post was a semi-troll, but THIS^.

I wouldn't volunteer for jury duty, but I wouldn't attempt to evade it because I know that the judiciary system NEEDS rationally thinking people in it.

You can't really get out of it, depends on how many cases are pending and what number you are at for jury duty, just be on WF when the case starts and keep us posted

I've been selected for jury duty a few times. Never made it to trial, and I didn't try to get out of it.

Usually more people there each day than needed, so take a book or something to do. BTW - most courthouses don't allow electronic devices anymore.

Holy Fuck! this tread just made me realize I got a letter about having to go into jury duty the 18th! TODAY (1AM here)....

Fuck I have so many meetings tomorrow morning.. :/

I got a letter and that was it, and it wasn't certified mail or anything, just a normal ass letter.

I guess I can just call and try to get an extension or something. Fuckkkkkk
