No I never played "competitive" soccer on any level. I did play football a few years between jr high school and high school, wasn't very good at that either and didn't see a lot of playing time. Still love it though.

Don't know why people want to turn it in to something it's not. Been through this before. I hate it because it's boring, and over hyped by the rest of the world. I watch a lot a baseball, which is also fairly boring, but you won't see me going nuts about how it's the greatest game in the world when it obviously is not.

Also soccer is just full of flopping fuck faces. It gets ridiculous to watch.

You're also not seeing 70 people die after a baseball game because the fans went full retarded. That's not to say people haven't ever died at baseball, basketball, or football games. However soccer fans take that shit to the next level.

Now lets think about dimenions in other sports. I haven't seen Djokovic doing more in Austrialian Open final than just deflecking tennis ball with tennis rocket for 5 hours. Lets take another Australian sport - rugby. Tackle -try, tackle - penalty, tackle - tackle. Now swimming - jump to the water and swim swim swim. Go out of the water and take a medal. 100m sprint - run for 100m, stop, take a medal. Long jump - jump as far as you can, take a medal. Weightlifting - lift up 240kg. Drop it after the signal.

I assume there is no sport good for you.

Once you truly understand what each sport is about you enjoy it.

That shit had nothing to do with soccer anyway. This is just an example of how destabilized and unstable Egypt has become since Mubarak's fall last year. Why would fans storm the field when their team is winning 3-1?
 
Hockey is definitely more entertaining to watch then soccer or shit like that.. Although here in europe, soccer is the number 1 sport by far, but i never understood the fun in watching 22 guys running around for 90 minutes and many times not even scoring a single goal during the whole match.. Boring :)

This. That looks like a riot that happened to occur at a football game, not because of the game itself.

And Americans have a different view of "sport" than most other countries in the world. I can't watch baseball or American football without getting bored, probably because I didn't grow up watching and playing those sports and don't have a clue what's going on beyond the basics.

Doesn't mean I hate baseball though. I don't have to watch it so why waste energy hating it?
