I've gotten a few sites up and running, decent traffic for the low amount of work/links I can throw at them, and a few clicks for adsense.

I am focusing on making some adsense farm sites right now.

What are the most important or first things I should invest money into now? I'm looking at things like market samurai, serpiq, scrapebox, etc.

I'd say start with something research-oriented, as it's a waste of time to build sites only to find out the market sucks.

I find Ultimate Niche Finder and SerpIQ to be the most worthwhile. UNF is more for finding new niches or finding tons and tons of keywords in a niche, while SerpIQ is for dialing in on your competition a little more. If you want to do an Adsense farm, where you're talking hundreds to thousands of sites, UNF would be more up your alley.

I've never liked Market Samurai, but now, I'd avoid it at all costs.

Download and sign-up for everything that offers a free trial. Lots of good stuff that you can use for free - Traffic Travis, SEO PowerSuite, Majestic SEO, Ahrefs, etc.

You need something to research keywords so you know the potential of niches. Market samurai is dead. I recommend keyword scout.

just as a heads up, we've modified our trial accounts to allow a handful of free keywords a day indefinitely at serpIQ, so you can sign up for free if funds are limited to at least get a feel for what we offer.

Yeah I didn't mean to downplay how great serpIQ is either... to be honest, I had planned on cancelling my serpIQ when I got UNF 'cause UNF gives a competition rating too, but it seems pretty flaky. I'll get lots of keywords that according to UNF are "1" competition (the lowest possible score) then I check them in serpIQ and it's like 45+... I would think it would be in the 30's at least.

No offense to UNF - I love it - but I just trust serpIQ more when it comes to competition analyses, which is why I still subscribe.

haha yeah i have been using the free trial for about a week and i do love this service. it will 100% be in my stable of product/subscriptions. Just looking for a heads up from everyone to see if i should be leaning towards something else now

btw, is there a users manual or some kind of guide to usign serpiq? i used it to get ideas for a couple of new domains, but i'm interested in finding out what that program can do in the hands of somebody with full knowledge of it. thanks!

three short answers for you:

1) We are going to start doing our weekly webinar series again soon now that we have the redesign deployed, so you can join in on one of those and listen to me jabber about how to use it for an hour

2) we're going to add an interactive tour system in the next week or two that will walk you through how each piece of data matters to overall the picture

3) we added a forum about a week ago, you're free to ask any and all questions there and one of us will help you out pretty quickly.

I did see the forum, and it looked kind of bare. Must be because it is new, so that's good to hear.

I'll definitely check ou thte webinars when they are posted. Thanks for the update.

I think it's been live for just over a week now so we're still nurturing it. Nice part about forums is the content stays there forever so you can read back into old threads and see some stuff. The Subscribers only subforum has a few good threads in it right now actually.

just gave it a quick look through. there are a few really good posts on there already. i know right now its not exactly hard to find threads you like, but is there anyway you can add a feature to follow or bookmark a thread.

there's a subscribe button at the bottom of the page when viewing any thread that will email you a notification when someone replies to one. I think that should be helpful for ya
