Fuck those bitches. I swear to god, I applied to fucking 2 god damn jobs (all food service (busboy)). I fucking wait 2 hours for one of them while taking a test and applying, and they tell me they'll call me back the next day. Haven't heard shit from them. Next job I fucking apply, then sit and wait for 1 hour to get an interview. The stupid fucks finally realize that nobody is there to interview me, so they tell me to come back tomorrow. I come back and wait another fucking hour, and then they decide that they are full (even though they have a fucking "Now Hiring All Positions!" sign right outside their door). Fuck applying for a third, all of this miss-managed bullshit pisses me off.

Good news, I finally got a debit card so I'm going to try my hardest to fuck affiliate marketing up the ass and prove to my parents that I don't need to deal with this shit.

Sorry about the vent coming from a probably immature 17 year old that says fuck to much. Well there you have it, flame away faggots (no offense Lemon).

Got a small time job where I clean my fathers office from head to toe every weekend. Does that count?

Very true, even though you probably would make more money online if you really worked hard at it, its still good to start from the bottom so you get some practical knowledge, meet people, learn new experiences, etc. and to experience the "bottom" but its essential that you progress as well and not just remain there

I agree. You definately need to have a real job. Busboy sounds like a good one. Suck it up and do it. It will benefit you in the long run.

I would do the part time job, and use a bulk of that money to finance the beginnings of an online business. Then once you make enough, buy the restaurant where you work, and fire the manager.

Why not, not work for idiots regardless of age.

Work from home and volunteer your spare to a good cause.

You'll get both!

Best of luck to you dude. I think that its good to get the experience in a 'real' job.. but the reality is that they SUCK.

I also think that age has nothing to do with it. I have a pal who is 19 and makes more money in affiliate marketing and design than i could imagine at this point in my life.

Find what you love and do it, dont stop until you do.

I work 7-3 as an programmer in a huge fortune 500 tech company. Cube life sucks. I'm hoping to go freelance in the next six months because after four years, I cannot handle it anymore.

Work a shit job for a few years. Put up with shitty working conditions and a shitty boss. Put up with bullshit wages. Put up with the day to day grind. Put up with idiot co-workers and long commutes. Put up with cold coffee, stupid gossip, and short lunch breaks. Put up with working weekends and long hours. Put up with people yelling at you all day long. Be depressed and hate your life, it's part of the game. Wake up early every morning to do shit you hate doing. Go home every night and ask yourself why you keep doing it. Become addicted to alcohol or drugs or vices because they help you escape the bullshit. See how many times you let superiors push you and boss you around...

... and it's ALL because you simply need the money, and it gets fucking old after a while.

Then, you'll realize that TRUE motivation to make your money online.

Finally after seven long years..... I'm slowly working my way out of my shitty job... cutting my hours slowly... and making money online. Already went from full time to part time last month and I can't wait until I can quit altogether.

Sounds like a plan, but after reading your post I just had to give you one tip. Learn to be patient with other people and yourself. A 9 -5 is a pain in the ass but don't think you can just sit around on your ass and work for 1 hour a day like all those click bank sales letters would like you to believe. Sometimes you will have to wait weeks just to get indexed by google and then wait another month before you start getting any real se traffic. Then theres adwords i'm pretty sure they'll manage to piss you off with something within the first few days. Then comes the smartpricing and quality score to kick you in the balls when your down, good luck.

I like my 9-5 (ok, 6:30am - 6:30pm, not including 1.5 hrs commute daily) because it lets me rest.

It's the getting home and doing family/house stuff, and then trying to get some AM or whatever going that tires me out...

No, working for your parents doesnt count, you need to work for a company where you are managed by a retarded, under qualified douche whos power trippin..

haha yea I just got a part time job for the experience as well and I can relate to that comment.
