I have been reading through these forums for months now and have come across multiple threads regarding "How much can I make" and they are all different. After you weed through the sarcasm you have new guys making a few dollars a day while experienced members reporting upwards of $1,000 per day. So my question is based around this but more what direction should I go in.
I have three current domains which I would like to start my afflilate marketing with. Two of the domain names I consider to be simply great and I just happen to get lucky in retrieving them in an auction. Good enough where without even creating the content I fall top three in search engines for my primary keywords just simply based on the name alone. The 3rd is also very good but not a name that people would simply stumble upon like the first two.
The sites will be informative sites but completely custom with all of my own material. Likely 20 to 30 articles to start. Well designed site layout which I have already paid a developer to create so I can use across all three sites. So not a typical static site with a few articles on the subject which is never updated.
So my main question is again what direction should I go first? Do I take one of the three and focus heavily on that in hopes of developing a fan base using a very interactive approach or a concerted effort on all three but due to time constraints less updates and minimial interaction with the visitors?
Then finally, realistically, what could I expect to make? Given they are sites with great layout, decent starting traffic based on domain names (20k unique visitors per month), and each site allows me the opportunity to promote/market upwards of 20 or 30 different products as well as incorporating Google Adsense. Also the products/services I am promoting would be large fortune 500 companies not the gimmick or Ebook of the week.
At this point I am kind of rambling on but I read so many posts of guys getting flamed for not providing enough information or very broad questions. I assure you I have done my research for a while now. I have all of my potentinal Affiliate Marketing partners mapped out (assuming I get approved). As well as a business plan on each site in terms of articles and eventual improvements to the sites for the next 6 months. What would be extremely helpful is if people could post examples of what each type of site brings in. I know it is tough to do this as you do not want to bring in competion to that market or give away secrets but it would show those who are only interested in making a few bucks a month what they will need to work towards while those you are more serious what they would need to strive for in terms of material, layout, traffic, etc. I have looked at flippa to try and gauge this but it the end it appears most of the sellers are inflating their numbers one way or another.
Thanks for the help in advance and I do apologize for the long post.
