About a year ago one of my clients got me a one year subscription to SEOmoz (he was, at that time, obsessed with how his site compares to competition in SEOmoz ranking), the subscription will be over next month and I can pick it up at $79 per month.

I use Majestic and serpIQ (pretty happy with both) and feel the MOZ are pretty much useless, however wanted to know what you guys here think, should I keep the account or drop it?

Thanks.

Seomoz is awesome if you want in-depth statistics and ranking analysis that's based on completely imaginary numbers and algorithms, it's like trying to handicap real football games based on a big private fantasy league.

thanks man, i was trying to see if anyone thinks differently, and i guess dropping this worthless membership would meet little opposition here.

Unless you're using the API, or wanna see all the anchor text a site's using, it's not worth subscribing to SEOmoz pro for basic OSE use. If you become a (free) member, you get unlimited reports.

yeah, not worth spending on this one, i guess i will get $79 worth of services on the BST section next month :)

I'm sure people who sell stuff and cite their mozrank and randthority as justification for their services would disagree.

Someone mentioned that it is pretty easy to game PA/DA.
I have also seen some site with PA/DA in the 80s with just a couple thousand link with lots of High Dropped PR links though...

the reliability of the Moz ranking is not very high, some sites can score high on those with only a couple of high PR links and a few blogrolls, it was never something I really thought made a difference.

Thanks for sharing - it does look like not many appreciate this service too much.

I use Majestic SEO and pretty happy with it. Though it's also great if you use other services just for comparison.
