Let's say you've bought KW1-KW2.com, but some time later you see KW1KW2.com has become available(wasn't available when you started). You've already spent time ranking KW1-KW2.com. According to people here, Google likes KW1KW2.com better without the hyphen.

1. Do you stop backlinking the hyphenated domain name and start on the un-hyphenated?

2. Does Google realize that both domains will go to the same site so it wouldn't really be like starting over if you go with the un-hyphenated?

Thanks.

Go with both man. Use a different host if you can.. that's ussually done when you want to dominate the top 3 rankings.

Thanks!

And if you don't want to continue to backlink the existing domain, use the new domain and 301 redirect to the new domain from the old one, which will push through the existing backlinking power of the old domain.

How to setup a 301 Redirect

If you use wordpress this is easy with plugins. Just do a 301 redirect search in WP plugins section.
