When I first started doing SEO, I looked for all the programs that it seemed like everybody was using. I figured once I knew these programs I would know SEO and be able to start offering services. I recently attended Guerilla's Webinar(Check in Traffic and Content section for "webinar"). This made me take a completely different approach to how I was trying to learn SEO. After his webinar it made me more interested in actually building links manually and learning the ends and outs of the link building game before applying it to what an automated program can do for me.

Just my 2 cents but thought I would give back as I am just a daily reader here.

Thank you so much for giving back to the community Rick. I'm sure your mind-blowing post will change the lives of many, and create at least a handful of millionaires.

I think I would check this webinar you've mentioned. I want to learn about SEO myself and all those stuff about link building. Thanks for the tip, Rick!

Why didn't you just bump the webinar thread with this, like guerilla asked you to?

Yup I have to agree, I fell into the same trap you did when i first started out. I tried to buy this, buy that, get that, gotta get that too, it wasn't till I sat down and just did it manually that everything started to actually click.

Damn, who would have thought you have to actually work, and spend money in other places than BST :D

Better late than never though eh ;)

Mere acceptance of other polarity can not be called learning.
