Nice post, but it seems a little strange that you are asking questions and then right down the bottom you say you are already making 1900% ROI. If you are doing that then I don't think you need our help, but maybe some of the forum users needs yours. lol

Thanks--I think. I KNOW there are people doing far better than that but it seems from the feedback from this post they wouldn't waste time giving folks valuable advice because the haters would come out in full force.

I am very mediocre at this point (in my opinion) but I know if I keep listening to the real ballers in this forum I can get better. Not only that, I'd like to give back too.

A moderator asked me to post my stats but who wants to do something like that with all the hate around? I also recommend reading the book mentioned here (you can get the .pdf for free online: Super Affiliate Marketing Blog » Affiliate Marketing With The Power Of Influence Marketing)

It's helped alot with writing ads (have moved CTR up from about .5% to as high as 1.37%).

He's got some good stuff, (we need more). I'm seriously thankful for this shit I would so buy his ebook if he sold one (lol).

I sent a copy of that ebook to friends....actually, let me pull up the link to the book he mentions just to give back:http://www.soilandhealth.org/03sov/0303critic/030332.bernays.propaganda.pdf

It's by Edwards Bernays. I probably shouldn't even be posting this shit because it is some seriously powerful info....

May the force be with you, lmao

Damn guys, why all the hating?

Anyhow, here's my thoughts, riddarhusetgal:

1. Not sure how many I know that make those figures, because I generally don't ask people what they make. I do know that there are some (maybe even a lot) on this board making numbers like that.

As for the fastest way to 5 digits, not sure there either. I'm not a 5 digit guy. :D But, if I had to guess, I would say hard work and a willingness to listen, learn and apply. Application being the most important

2. Personally, I would rather have 100 campaigns that add up to totals those numbers. My thought is: if you have 1 campaign doing $10,000 per month, and it's your only campaign, then it tanks, you're back to zero. However if you have 100 campaigns doing $100 per month each, and 1 tanks, you're still making $9,900 per month, and it's easier to replace that campaign with another.

3. Not sure what you're asking with this one. Personally, on the PPC campaigns I run, I'll kill them pretty quickly (24 - 48 hours) if they aren't doing the numbers I want to see.

4. I've got a little of both. This is more of personal preference than anything. Just make sure that you set intermediary goals also. If you only have the goal of making $50,000 per month, yet no roadmap or goals along the way, then it can get frustrating. That would be a long term goal. Set some short term goals to help you get there. Say, $1000 the first month, $3000 the next month, etc. And break those down into more digestible pieces also. Like, to make $1000 this month, I'm going to start 10 new sites, and 10 new PPC campaigns. Or something like that.

5. Several. Not because Copeac isn't the best out there, but there may be a campaign on another that appeals to you, and Copeac may not have it. So, run it on the other network, and if it's profitable, ask Danielle if she can pull it into Copeac's network. If it's not profitable, then no need to bug her. :D

Hope this helps.

1) How many people do you know who generate $10,000(net) or more from CPA/PPL affiliate arbitrage and what does it take in terms of time (i.e. if you are a n00b and you are doing this full time with some success after say 60 days? What's the fastest way to $10,000-$30,000 per month net?)

2) Is it a good idea to pick say 5 campaigns that generate 2k/months or 2 campaigns that does $5k per month or 1 campaign that does $10,000/month...)

3) From a very (dry, boring) academic perspective, diversification makes sense (especially if they can stop the campaign you are running at any time) - find the highest ROI campaigns and then maximize them as much as you can?

4) Another question I have is do people (those who do this full time) just set income goals for themselves or lifestyle goals (i.e. I want to make $10k/month on auto-pilot, ala "4 Hour Work Week").

5) Final query is: do you usually stick with one network or use several? I must say I am VERY happy with Copeac and wouldn't look anywhere else if they paid weekly which I like (the pay schedule is an issue if you are basically doing margin work with Adwords, i.e. you can run up a high bill as long as you know you get paid by the network before the bill is due...).

I like this forum because people aren't afraid to talk straight about making money. I am a n00b and started about 8 weeks ago and have already made returns as high as 1900% ( into the 4 figures) just from literally not being hard-headed and following exactly what the senior members say so I know it's possible.

Thanks!

Wow, now this is what I was talking about - thanks Mike. I would have PMed you but I don't want you to get tired of my n00b question (although I think I can get a way with it 'cause I'm a chick and with you being a fucking gentleman at all...lol actually I don't talk that way but I don't wanna seem like a prude...)

Thanks so much. That 24-48 hour bit is just the kinda info I need I am going to put it into practice right away....

Yep, I likes the ladies :D

Seriously though, you had reasonable questions laid out in a well thought out manner, and it annoys the hell out of me when people just start flaming for the hell of it.

As for the time frame, I watch new PPC campaigns fairly closely for the first few days. Here's a few of the things I look for:

1. Is it in the black? Am I making money or losing? If it's losing money after 24 hours, and it's getting decent traffic, I'll kill it. If it's breaking even, and traffic is slow or moderate, I'll let it go a little longer to see if it trends up or down.

If it's making money, but is below the ROI threshold that I want to see, I'll usually let it go for a couple days, maybe a week, to see if the days affect profitability. Different days, and time of day can affect your profitability.

2. How much traffic is it getting? If it's very little, but it's converting at a high rate, I'll probably just leave it alone (set it and forget it), unless I need to free those funds up for a different campaign that's performing better.

3. Cost per click vs. ROI. You should watch this regardless. If your CPC changes, it can adversely affect your ROI. I ran one campaign awhile back that was doing 5:1, but then the CPC started going up and conversions started falling, so I killed it. But for the first 6 weeks, it was slow but very steady.

1. quite a few. $10,000 is actually pretty easy to get to once you get the hand of things.

2. The more campaigns you are running th harder it becomes to manage them. Either way you don't pick and chose your campaigns or how they work for you -- you work and results happen.

3. ?

4. I think its a mixture of both. Its not an either/or situation.

5. Several, limiting yourself to one network limits the offers available to promote.

From your questions, I'd focus on earning your first $100 or $1000 first.
Whatever you're asking will take care of itself.

No two affiliates are alike and what works for someone may not work for you.
This sure as heck isn't Wharton or HBS.
But you might've figured it out before joining.

If you're promote the affiliate progs in yr sig, why not focus on that and build it up to 5figs/mth.

I doubt you'd get any/many signups here though.

LOLOL. First $100 or $1000? Done. Do you want to have tea at Raffles or drinks at Harry's to see my stats? I'm in good ole Dixieland at the moment however. You can book that table with the amazing view for me - would you, please?

I'm always curious as to why commons questions illicit such vitrolic responses filled with asininity?

Anyway, thanks for the POSITIVE feedback by several. Have a productive week ....

It's this kind of message that could make people dislike you. Have you ever considered crawling from out of your own arse?

Oh, and if you're going to use big words, it would probably be a good idea to learn how to spell them.

IMO, asking about money should come only after all avenues of learning the business have been exhausted.

Work comes first. Money happens as a result of work. Hard work. Read, work, test, read some more, work a lot more, test even more, and realize there is no black and white in the internet world of making money. What works for one person bombs for another.

What brings in five figures one month isn't guaranteed for the next.

Work. All the time. That's how you make 10K plus a month.

It's called a typo. Now that you've established that you've conquered one of the approximately 550,000 words in the English language, shall we move on?
LOL.

Take a chill pill bro (geez....). You probably make 100x more in this game than I do so why invest so much in a little message?

Actually, this is the longest post I have ever started so it's probably better to be disliked than ignored (hugs).

"arse". God you're witty--Is it a natural talent of yours or cultivated over time with steadfast practice? LOL
(just fuckin' with you....)

wayy too much for me to read. split this baby up into individual posts.

but, for my addition to this thread, let me just advise that 'net' doesnt mean shit. 10,000 'net' could mean you pull in 10,000 but spend 9,999 doing it, this PROFITING (the name of the game) $1. just keep your eye on the prize. for example, i used to run an incentivized network of sites. i netted mid-5 figures. i profited mid-4 figures. (i had to spend nearly all of it purchasing prizes for customers) its all relative.
