I've been sent here by my new employer! I start working for him soon, pretty vague job understanding as of now, but he told me for the next week or so I should get some background info on SEO.

He actually spoke highly of this forum, and said I could get some "real" responses and information here. Basically no bullshit.

So, yea I'm new here and to this whole concept. I am finding it very interesting however. Just a greeting to the forum, I apologize in advance for some future senseless responses lol. Looking forward to a future in this field!

Hope you like it. I do. Mainly I just shut up and read read read and google. There's a lot of good info here. Make good use of the search button.

There's a lot too learn, and SEO is a fast-moving industry, so make sure you keep up to date with the latest developments. What worked yesterday may not work today, post-Panda & Penguin.

So you responded to a job ad like "guy needed for various random tasks," your employer liked the cut of your jib and sent you here to learn SEO? Sounds like a really mean practical joke.

Well kinda, lol. Responded to a Marketing Analyst position, I have my Bachelors in Marketing but I'm a career rookie. The guy has some things going on, and wants me to dive into some SEO. Soooooo, here I am.

Your employers sent you to a gay webmaster forum?
