Let me preface this thread with one of the best articles on the penguin update by WF's own BOFU here.

If you want a cliff's note version of the article, it is this : More than 2/3rds of the websites punished by the penguin update had TWO similarities - Too little anchor distribution and completely irrelevant LSI.

What this means is that google is paying attention to everyone who is building links with 'un-natural' anchors (Meaning too few keywords) and links on pages that have nothing to do with your link (Links to your medical website on a student loan blog just won't work anymore). On top of this , there is further proof that google implemented some filters on spintax and other ways to create 'cheap' links.

So , how do you get around this penalty? Diverse links on QUALITY, RELEVANT articles with lots of LSI keywords.

So far, not happy

Bought a PR 4 backlink and the article was fairly well written.

BUT, after the link was made, rankings fell from #13 to #81....

Ya, that's a pretty big drop to just be dancing... I'll give it some time, but I haven't done any other SEO for this site at all.

edit: Haven't done SEO on this site in over 30 days.

Removed comments on recommending this product. Not my place to say.

so you dont do any other seo at all for this site. could it then be just coincidence that you drop a couple pages? nope, must be the only service you bought. if youve got a review package, you write a review. i dont appreciate your non-specific ramblings about stuff you may or may not have done to your site in this thread. if you somehow believe that this link is totally killing your site, do yourself a favor: get a refund.

if google didnt like the site, it would assign pr n/a. remember that pr is a google product?


we are very generous with these review packages. about 80% of the reviews that are taken dont even post their review. i dont run around and report all of them like some stupid snitch. 80% of the orders we get are from repeat customers. all of them are very happy. if you rank #13 "without doing any kind of seo" to your site, that ranking is very volatile - and probably for a very low volume keyword with very very low competition. ill end this here. post about that shit in traffic and content and get laughed at. seriously, wtf.

i dunno exactly what kind of url you are inquiring about, but ill deny that request. All urls are reviewed by reputable senior members and need not be fucked up by people who may or may not do stupid crap to them.
 
This is a message from a banned user who's using Brandon's SEO services :

I have currently been working with Brandon on my current SEO project and have seen an unfortunate drop in rankings. HOWEVER, it appears that this was most likely my fault, and my ignorance on the new anchor tag filters google has initiated with the panda update. I'm not expecting a miracle, but just wanted to post and say that anyone thinking of buying this service should feel comfortable in the dedication these providers have.
