Question about backlinks

I plan on doing many the backlinks to my site manually, without any tools and programs. However, I'm not sure on the effectiveness of this stragey. Is it bad if many backlinks are posted from my IP address? And if so, should I use a proxy?

P.S. I am newbie to IM :D
 


The backlinks won't be rooted in your IP address. Only worry about your IP if you're spamming a certain site to get backlinks on it.

IP addresses will not get as a signature in the backlinks. What it will do is that for example you registerd 3 times to digg today. Then you'll not be able to register again. Do that multiple times and you might get your IP address banned on Digg..

On the backlinks part do the backlinks as much as you can on the same IP, it wouldn't matter. One suggestion though, after making sure the manual thingy your working on is "WORKING" try to automate it... Automate "EXACTLY" what you are doing in ubot or zennoposter.

and it won't hurt to change your IP every now and then right? you'll need it specially if you are already trying to create more accounts to avoid footprints from the same user over and over again.

Submitting your links from the same IP may looks like artificial. Use Trusted VPN's Recommend by the Wicked members.
 
Don't listen to the advice in this thread. If you are doing manual link building you do not need proxies, vps or anything else people tell you. Just get to work.
 
It seems to me you are trying to build links the right one. When I first started learning SEO (4 years ago), I simply reached out to site owners directly for GREAT authority links. Within 3 months, I had multiple .edus (1-2 .gov) and tons of .coms. Its a lot of work, but very rewarding to link build the RIGHT WAY. GOOD LUCK BUDDY
