The best tool is Radian6 ( Salesforce Marketing Cloud - Social media monitoring tools, social media engagement software and social CRM and marketing from the industry leader in social analytics. ) but it starts at 5 grand a month...
The tool I use is Sendible. Powerful and reasonably cheap. ( Social Media Management, Monitoring & Analytics Tools: Sendible )

By far the easiest social site to get traffic from through automated ways/bots is Twitter. It will probably end up being the backbone of your campaign.
Tools to help with Twitter:
Tweetadder - Covers following/unfollowing (which is about all I would use it for).
Manageflitter - This further helps out how many people you can unfollow, highly recommended.
Tools overall:
Twitterfeed - Free way to submit rss feeds to top social networks (and get images).
Hootsuite - Social media management/publishing tool. I have a love/hate relationship with Hootsuite.
Socialoomph - Another social media management/publishing tool. I don't have much experience with this, but I hear great reviews.

I know about HootSuite. It is one of the tool that many people use just to make their SMM strategy a effective one. People who tend to discover new and valuable things will surely take the success.

Another vote for Hootsuite. Can monitor multiple sources, and can setup teams etc, what more do you need.

I suggest Tweetadder for twitter and its working awesome. I always used that and find quiet effective for me. Also use Hootsuite for social media management tool.

There are several other tools like TweetDeck, Tweepi, SproutSocial and many.. but my choice for the best is Hootsuite
I agree on you mate, @kyowa, me too suggest you Hootsuite dude, it collaboratively execute campaigns across multiple social networks from one dashboard. Includes audience identification tools, the ability to streamline workflow, and custom reports....

How can pinterest be monetized? Call me short-sighted if you must, but I'm just not seeing it.
It looks like a decent enough place to feature events like trade shows, entertainment, etc.
