One of the worst cases of police brutality I've ever seen. This 110 pound scrawny little teenager is in a bus, 15 feet away from the cops, is most likely intoxicated based on his voice (not sure though), doesn't drop his knife when told to do so, and all of sudden he's got 9 bullets fired at him. The cops then hop on the bus and taser his dead body.

Now in many other videos of police brutality posted here, I've actually sided with the police because their life had been clearly threatened so they had to act quick, but in this case, I can't wrap my head around why they felt the need to shoot 9 times + taser him. I just don't and it's making me sick. Can somebody explain?

Unbelievable. He was just standing by himself... and why the fuck was he tasered after being shot 9 times? Jesus christ.

1. wtf was the kid doing with a knife.
2. if you have a knife and some asshole with a badge and a gun pointed at you says drop the knife...you drop the fucking knife.
3. i fail to see how that cop could justify use of force.

waste of life :(

Please oh please god don't let this somehow turn into another Trevor Markus vs. Zimmenberg fiasco

He was only 18 man, a lot of people are stubborn arrogant shits at that age.

How many of you study gunfights and can tell me what the standard 'safe' distance is with a knife?

Tasers are only so effective.

Who knows but who cares?

No one would have complained if they shot him in the lower body, or if they would have shot "near him" to scare him off, or simply got close enough and tasered him from a safe distance. For god's sake, there were so many other alternatives here... this was a kid with a utensil he probably took from his mom's kitchen drawer.

Yeah tasers are only so effective but there was no risk to anyone at the stage he was shot. Surely more effort could have been put towards talking him into cooperating with him trapped in a bus. Sieges get non-lethal conclusions all the time.

If he started coming at a copper than yeah, I can understand shooting but the situation seemed to be under control and just needed some patience and common sense.

Kid coulda easily thrown the knife at the cop. It's unclear what he did to provoke the shooting. With that said the fucking cops on this continent are out of control. We the people need to stand up and insist their budgets be slashed.

Edit. To bad this will never happen

The sad thing is that we are so used to these kind of police brutality.
We have to justify every breath we take while these "2 neurons in my brain made me a cop" have to justify nothing

Shield, walk up to door, taser. Job done.

Or, distract, smash window, taser.

This could have been resolved 100 different ways, but it seems a lot of cops have some need to "make their bones" and killing a kid is an easy target. It's fucking murder.

I can't see the need for firing a single shot at him, if he was threatening to throw the knife the police could just move away from the door.

I wish they would've had the time, resources, and forethought to use one of their many non-lethal tactics in this situation.

Why not drive a cruiser up to block the front and rear entrances? Set up a parameter of cops around the bus a fairly safe but reactive distance away, and behind partial cover until non-lethal resources arrive? It looks like they had the manpower.

It sucks that some of these people are itching to get that shot off to wear it like a badge of competency. This is what poor judgement looks like, and we're all very capable of it when we're scared.

Something tells me there's more to this than what we're seeing. Who knows, maybe the cops knew that guy, and there's a bit of a back story / history there.

I don't like cops. But common', the kid had a knife and did not drop it. Plus, if you are going to shoot someone, you make sure they die, you don't want to get sued afterwards.

There is likely a backstory for this shit, but who cares. You have a deadly weapon in your hand and don't drop it when told to by someone with a gun = you are likely to get shot.

Doesn't matter who you are and who is the person with the gun.

The tasering wasn't a big deal, you want to make sure you don't get stabbed by a half crazy half dead kid.

People get beat to shit by police every day for petty crap, people get thrown in jail for having a herb on them, the definition of domestic abuse is now being applied for 'psychological violence', private, for profit prisons are ensuring more and more people go to jail for longer and longer terms for less and less, bankers steal billions and get off scot-free and you complain about this... really? I didn't know you had taken up the 'I'm young, stupid, drugged and want to be able to threaten people's lives and get away with it' cause.

Come at me with knife...

"DROP THE KNIFE BRO"

Keep coming...

I KEEL YOU. THEN ZAP YOUR FUCKING CORPSE.

/story.

Edit: I'd kill that whigger motherfucker just for that hat and outfit.
