Hey guys,

One of my sites, which was PR 0 for a while (just launched 2 months ago) was getting great google traffic and then suddenly today it dropped off by 90%+

My site and pages are still indexed, and I'm still getting some traffic, but it is nowhere near as much as it has been this past month.

So I checked my PR on a few different sites and it says my page rank is -1!!

I didn't know it was possible to have a negative page rank... does anyone know why this might have happened? I'm pulling my hair out over here trying to figure out what happened...

Any help is MUCH appreciated!

The only thing that google might not like that I've ever done is the CSS hidden text for the logo of my site. I used text-indent: -1000em; and used my logo as the background...

LOL

got caught?

Also, the -1 must be a mistake as *most* places are showing me as unranked or 0. Still doesn't explain why suddenly all of my traffic dropped off.

Could it be a duplicate content issue? I'm not intentionally duplicating content, but say I have the same article in these locations:

www.site.com
www.site.com/show-all.html
www.site.com/category/something.html
www.site.com/293/the-article.html

Would that be considered duplicate content in google? I can't see how it could.
Whada hell does your PR ranking it related with traffic?!?!?!?
There a fucking huge difference between PR and Page positioning.
Websites don't lose traffic just because of drops on PR,
Have you check webmaster tools?!
Have you checked your last crawl? Have you scanned your links? Your server did n cracked?
Fuck hell, there are so many other things that could have happened to your website and you are blaming PR ?!?!?
First, there's no such thing as -1, the rank goes up 0 and not down.
How many % of your traffic is originated from organic search?!
Have you check on analytics comparing which channels do not deliver traffic anymore?!
Cheers

thats duplicate content, use robots.txt to tell the spiders what to index
get rid of the hidden text,G does read css
get backlinks

If I did, will making the changes to fix it make things go back to normal?

im sorry, but there is no "normal" with the SEs
develope your skills, stay on top what works atm,do your best and swim along ;)
