How much money do you spend on groceries?

I'm pretty strict on my diet and now avoid restaurants and cook stuff at home.

I recently got a juicer and, after looking at my budget, I realized that it costs me about $10 each time I make a glass of veggie juice.

This makes my monthly budget ~$700/month for groceries.

This sounds outrageous to me for some reason since I'm a single dude who lives by myself.

I guess I can frame it to myself that it is the cost of groceries and "health insurance."

Why not run a mcdouble(no bun) threw the juicer, and save $9? Seriously though if you're spending $10 on a glass of juice you need to do 1 of 2 things.

Make more money.
Buy smarter.

I bet I could make your juice for no more than $2. And that is probably high.

Probably around $250-$300 a week. I'm bulking right now trying to put on size so I need 6 meals a day but I don't cook at home I go to a health food store that pre-cooks healthy meals and I pick them up from there so its more expensive than if I were to cook at home but I do it for the convenience and to save time.

Holy run-on sentence!

Prob about $100 a week here.

Jesus, you guys buy a bunch of processed packaged shit or something? At the high end I spend $70-80. Some weeks I'll go through my pantry, see what I got, and plan out meals to use it up. Those weeks I'll spend maybe $40.

About 350, and that's because I'm a fat fuck. I'm getting to the point where I don't buy cookies/chips/etc because I just eat it by the bag.

$200/week for me, wife, and kid. And we have a Breville juicer and it's badass. Carrot-Ginger-Apple-Celery is my favorite.

I have a family of 6 (wife, me & 4 kids) and I used to spend about $1,200/month but I coupon like hell and get it down to about $500~$600/month. You'd be surprised how much 7 old computers and a networked laser printer can save you on food, toilet paper, wipes, toothpaste, ziploc bags, etc.

Where are you buying your veggies? Shop around some more.

Download the Mint app from the playstore. It categorizes all of your purchases and income automatically and budgets you out. Also reminds you when bills are due.

500-600/mo for groceries for my wife and I. She buys as much organic as possible, so that adds a bit to the bill.

Just to clarify me and my wife spend about $150-$200 a week in groceries, so if you split that, about $75/week a person. We also buy as much as we can that is organic or from local producers.
