Why aren't there more mainstream products being advertised on adult sites?

I'm trying to figure out why I never see that many (I actually can't recall anything). It seems to be sex games, gambling, penis pills (sometimes other pills), and adult dating, but I never see anything from the other verticals.

Does the traffic just not convert? Too expensive? I can understand a big brand (tm) not wanting the stigma of advertising on a porn site, but I don't think the little guys would have that much to lose by at least trying it out.

Eat24 advertised on some major porn sites if I recall correctly. Their campaigns were wildly successful.

They even released a comprehensive case study on it. Look it up!

I would assume for a lot of people adult sites are not even on their radar. Also, you have to be very confident in your reputation as a business/product for it to not be tainted/tarnished by association. Many people associate adult sites with a very high negative connotation which can easily be placed on any adjacent products (ie. those promoting on adult sites)

Shame because I have seen some serious money be made in and around that business.
