I am not that much of a newb, but I am lost here.
This article suggests that "users" = unique visitors. Which is is being debunked in comments, where they find out that "users" is actually both returning and new visitors.
They point you out to audience>behavior> new vs returning where "new" is supposed to be unique visitors. However I noticed that even that is false:
I just installed analytics on a new site and on 8th of October I see 2 "users" which is both me (I am sure based on all the data). And when I go to "new vs returning" it still displays me as 2 "new" visitors, while in reality it should be 1 "new" and 1 "returning", because it was me, with the same Ip on the same day.
Where can I see real "unique visitors"? It will be definitely important and as I see now - same visitors are being registered as unique and new while it is false.
