So I'm checking out all these offers right now, and I would just like to know from people who are actually MAKING money, how should I test an offer/LP? I'm starting to dig Facebook because it has pretty much real-time stats, even though the clicks are seeming a bit more expensive than I care for.

Does anyone have a good formula I could try to follow that works for them? Or is that a kind of taboo thing to ask? (still learning some IM etiquette)

And what should I look for in finding a successful campaign?

Thanx for the help. So far it's been unreal.

I'll assume you're talking PPC. I'd set your "max budget" to about twice the payout. If you havent broken even or made money by then, and aren't showing any improvment, adjust your bids, and tweak the landing page and such. If you're still not, torch the offer and move on.
Only risk what you can afford to lose, but give it a decent, realistic chance to succeed.

Max budget to twice payout. Great, I just learned something new. Thx for the advice, it's nice to have SOMETHING to go off.

Cool, I'll keep that in mind, thx.

Also, I just thought of this...what kind of competition do you look for before promoting an offer? Is there a certain something I should pay attention to that should steer me away from an offer? i.e. someone already competing on PPC w/ the same page? a certain % to pay for the keywords vs. payout?

Hmmm, I hope that makes sense. And thanks again for the help.

CTR Rate

What do you feel a good ctr is ? I know you should always keep tweaking, but what is a point you feel is a decent rate?

Is there an actual percentage rate that you try and shot for , or expect right off from the start. This is assuming that I am good at writing ads. I guess I want to know, is it all about the ad, or does the product also have something to do with the ctr%. If this is a difficult question then what ctr rate are you comfortable with?

I've heard the avg. is about 2-3%, although it strongly depends upon keywords. I feel pretty good if I have above 5%, and great if I have over 10.
