Sorry where are you checking the number of searches conducted? Ive been using overture because that's what I was brought up on :)

Overture count for my term is 12114

in 7search you can find out the searches in their engine if you select "edit bids" then at the top "tools"--> "keyword suggestions"

OK, my term is around 5000 in 7search. Guess I need to find more search key terms (in this testing phase my bids are high enough to be #1 - so thats not the problem).

Also with your actual ad text - are you just making it so that the user is as likely as possible to click, or actually trying to convey something useful?

Get them to click on it. If you have something useful in your content I think that is rewarding enough in my opinion. Tell them you have what they want ( and you should anyways...)

Thanks Marcin! You're method really got me going once I read the first article.
Second that. I saw his blog entry mentioned in another WF thread, and it finally motivated me to actually do something. Well, that and all the other useful info I've found on this board (Thanks everyone).

You can only read for so long, eventually you need to just jump in the pool.

(Now, back to the murky depths, where the 1 post lurkers reside...)

I'm gonna try and convert you away from the depths. The best part about being a regular poster is that people will PM you good advice that they usuallly wouldn't share with anyone else if you participate.

The threads are only half the experience. The contacts you get are the best.

Thanks, as I become more active in actually producing websites, I plan to start being more active at WF. I would hope that I can reach a point that I can give back more than I leech.

lol, well all newbies leech at first. But then we grow into expert leeches. Then we let the little baby leeches leech onto us and so on and so forth. Just be a part of the leech community.

great I'm gonna throw up now that I'm thinking about parasites and lamprey...:repuke:

Hello,

I guess I need to introduce myself - I wrote the article at
seoprotoolz.com
that started this whole thread (on finding niches in under 10 minutes).

I am really glad that some people found it interesting and useful.

Discovering niches is a very wide subject and different ways may appeal to different people. Taking that into account, I have 2 more articles that deal with this topic. They both describe additional ways to discover new and profitable niches, but this time, they give you more control.

I hope you will find them useful as well.

Enjoy and let me know what you think - if you have any questions, I will try to answer them.

Oooh so great!

I see a flaw in Alan's method for using Awords to find high paying niches.

Try typing something like "computer" using the suggested $50 per click budget (keyword specific). It will show you "computer" generates big money clicks.

Now change your budget to $0.10 with the same term - "computers". It will show you that you can get #1-#3 placement with the same term. I think this is a bit of a discrepancy if you ask me... no?

Anyways - I'll stick with overture search and bid tool... but I think this method is good for brainstorming.

I'm glad you pointed that out trigatch. I built a site around a keyword that was supposedly $8 per click but in actuality it was only $0.50 per click. It really puts into perspective how rare clicks over $2.00 are.

I just syndicated a new tool that I think is really helpful in finding KW niches. The search box below allows you to search an extensive database of Google Adsense Keywords. You need to look at the total Revenue, not just the Cost Per Click. There’s a nice balance there, and unfortunately most people seem to focus mainly on the highest paid keywords. In addition, what’s happening is that there is a lot more competition to get people to sites with high paying keywords, which means what little traffic there is, is already highly competitive. Just do a Google search for keywords such as “mesothelioma”

Enter Key Phrase Below to Discover:
Cost per Click
Clicks per Day Estimated Volume
Historic High/Low Data
Total Cost per Day Estimates

Hope this helps and best of luck!

So the high/low data is what was paid to adwords correct?

Affiliate Niche Finding Google Adsense Keyword Tools

not so impressed. did 10 searches and only 2 of them have been found (and the ones i looked for are very popular ones). the other ones which were found reported less clicks per day then i alone produce.

the original keyword tool from google does report estimated hits and costs for these keywords correct however. so the database is ... well, corrupt at best.

looks more like an adsense bait as the result page is plastered with it.

maybe i am overly critic here but that is just me.
