So, I've setup a few Adwords site placement targeting campaigns targeting 5 social networking sites.

Set my bid to $10 (CPC) and daily budget of $100. After 4 days I'm still not getting any impressions.

Any tips?

probably the 5 social networks you're targeting already have competition paying higher prices than you.

I doubt that - setting your CPC to $10 CPC is pretty high (and stupid).

In my experience, placement targeting can take a few days to really start, especially on social networks. Why? No clue. The last time I tried a campaign like that, it took a week to start getting impressions.

No, it's a cheap niche, I just set the bids high to get things started and see what's the maximum I have to pay for the top spots , I'll reduce the bids once I get some clicks and good CTr.

watch that you don't lose massive money by doing this. just because your daily budget is set to $100 it doesnt mean you won't spend more then that. Ive had days where i set budgets to $200./day and google spent $400. Its an average daily budget so they can spend a lot at the beginning and less at the end of the month. They only guarantee that that over the course of 30 days it averages out to be what you set it to.

why don't you talk to their live support?
The most possible reason is your ad not get approved yet. It will still show "active" if under approval. Talk to them and they will tell you.
By the way, don't bid so high on social sites, you are killing yourself.

Social sites definitely don't justify their conversion overall to merit $10 cpc buys.

placement targeting is weird. i waited weeks once time before seeing impressions. there is normally a longer approval process simply because your on the content network.

i would get them into a chat session and ask. thats what i had to do.

50 cents max bid will get you a ton of impressions on Myspace.

I always turn off Myspace and Youtube traffic. Youll get tons of impressiosn, but from my experience it dosen't convert and it will kill your budget.

i would never do CPM now that CPC in placement targeting is offered. especially with hi traffic sites. you need to make sure the ads are in the "hot zone" if you do. if they're below the fold, you're dead. that's why cpc is better.

Well if your getting a high ctr on a certain ad on a particular site; you should do the calculations and see if switching your ad over to CPM is cheaper.
